It's time to board the Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas in Honolulu, Hawaii! We took the easy $3 bus from Waikiki to the cruise port, which saved us around $30 on an Uber or a Taxi. Embarkation went really quickly, and we were up into our cabin in about 20 minutes. The ship had some delays leaving the port, and the sail-away party as well as the first musical show of the evening happened before we left the pier! I'm looking forward to showing you more of this experience in the upcoming videos! #cruise #royalcaribbean #hawaii

And if you're over 65 years of age, you get a half-price senior fare of only $1.50. We were just there in April and took advantage of being "old" (in years, but not in spirit or activity level) for one of the four trips we took between the cruise terminal and the Waikiki/Ala Moana area. For our first trip from the cruise pier to the Ala Moana area, we walked the full 2.5 miles because it was early morning and we were still empty-handed. But when coming back, loaded down with bottles of wine, cases of soda, and some toiletries/sundries (after visits to Walmart and Target), we took advantage of the totally free Hilo Hattie's shuttle that runs all day between the cruise terminal and the Ala Moana Mall. After unloading all our goodies, we went back out, this time via the public bus outbound and then Hilo Hatties' shuttle again coming back.

You reminded me of.the little memories of Hawaii. Chickens everywhere. All were colorful. Not sure we saw a white one like grampa raised.

Laba tubes are fun to exolore. There is one near Flagstaff, AZ which I haven’t been to. I did one at Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho

We took a similar excursion in Hilo in December on a HAL ship....all just as you described...FABULOUS....will return to Hawaii someday....
