In this video, Cruising Sailboat Refit BEGINS with a Keel Repair in Florida, I buy a car and make the 28 hour drive from Nova Scotia Canada down to Jacksonville Florida to start our boat refit in getting Balachandra back in the water! We receive an amazing gift from Total Boat and I repair our long overdue broken baby stay using a sta-lok fitting. I remove the old keel joint patch and re-do it using epoxy and fairing compound.

In August of 2017 we sold everything and moved aboard Balachandra, a 1986 C&C44 sailboat. After 2 frigid Canadian winters in the North Atlantic we untied the lines and headed south to cruise in the Caribbean for another 2 years, exploring as far as Grenada.
