I really liked this movie, it was super cute, and refreshing in that it wasn't a "Coming Out" Story, in that all of the LGBTQA Plus characters were already out and proud.

While Paige and AJ's blossoming relationship was adorable to watch, I liked Paige's platonic friendship with her male friend Dillon. Male/Female friendships are always a joy for me to watch.

a sequel where she doesn’t get into cal arts… and has to deal w rejection and figure out what to do with her life is something i’d love to see

I'm glad people are actually talking about how shitty Paige's art is because like, yeah okay art is subjective and crap, but I used to draw shit like this in kindergarten (not that I'm a good artist by any means, but that's actually how my art used to look when I was younger). Now that I have that off my chest, I love that you didn't just dismiss this movie as cringe like a lot of other people have. I know that this movie has its moments, but it's literally just a wholesome sapphic rom-com. If straight people can have rom-coms without trauma, then why can't we? Even the writers of the movie described the setting as a sort of utopia with everyone being comfortable with their sexuality and there being ZERO homophobia; which of course people are saying is not realistic but like, I know it's not realistic, the writers know it's not realistic, but this is a fucking rom-com, it doesn't have to be realistic. I love and appreciate all the LGBT movies/tv shows/books that we have about coming out stories, but it's also just nice to have LGBT relationships be normalized and not have to start with a traumatic experience.
