This is gold, so much potential with this ! If you do a tutorial about Overlays, please mention that they can be colored in vertex painting as well (which can be used to make them fade away on some parts)

It's been a long time since I've worked with the Hammer Editor and I'm not currently planning a map. Nevertheless, I find your videos very interesting and well done. Keep up the good work! What impresses me the most is that as a Blender user, I now have several years of experience, you understand almost everything right away. The workflow seems to be similar to hardsurface modeling in Blender/other 3D modeling tools. Very interesting approach from Valve.

They have turned Hammer into modelling software! You would get right back in no prob :)

@@eagleonedevelopmentteam849 Very smart decision by valve. This makes the general entry level for other studios a lot easier, as many of the methods and rules are already known from other 3D programs. What is your opinion on "open world" maps in the Soruce 2 engine? I have the feeling that it is designed more for the "classic" level design, more for linear tube levels, narrower levels, like Soruce 1. I'll definitely keep watching your tutorials and when I'm done with my current modding project (a completely different game), I can start right away with the Soruce 2 engine :D

Valve made this very intuitive and open for anyone to jump into even without experience. As for open maps, its a downfall for source 2. Check out Neo tokyo on our channel for a map that took up the entirety of the playable space. We had to do a ton of smokes and mirrors to get that to work as an open environment would in another engine@@knudsen_live

Crazy, they add so many feature to play around! Anyway I got frustrate by how I can't right click on other model texture to quick copy the surface texture. Do you know where is it rn?

Do you have any plans to do a tutorial on audio? More specifically something on 'Steam Audio'? I cannot find any guides or documentation online on how to use it in source 2, just videos of people using it in unity and unreal engine funny enough. Trying to figure it out myself but haven't had much luck. These videos and your older half-life alyx ones are great by the way, thank you.
