You shouldnt get scammed nowadays. There are so many safety measurements that prevent you from being scammed. People get scammed because they dont enough pay attention at what they are doing, completely diffenent story if you get scammed because of some kind of hack.

I remember there were dota guys in our cafe community who had rows and rows or duped dragon claw hooks in dota worths thousands upon thousands and this is a small village area where nobody even earns that kind of money. Greed eventually had their whole inventory banned.
steam support wouldnt refund my $70 of items back in 2015 but were more than happy to double inventorys of dragon lores and howls, got to be an inside thing no way they were that incompetent
If this was implemented they should make it harder for people to have alternate accounts. Even now I think it's a good idea because people bot the hell out of steam.
this would get abused so hard. So many people would get wrongfully banned because other people they traded with would simply report them for the stupidest reasons. So Steam support is doing the right thing by doing nothing because if you get scammed it's literally your own fault. If people fall for something that's too good to be true, then...well...it's because it too good to be true. Literally no stranger on Steam would do you a favor just because he is so "kindhearted".
You're right, but steam, just like in the case you write about, as well as in the case of trade, would not give a damn, because according to Valve's rules, trading items out of steam market is illegal.
@@MMW1299 you could bypass that too, if you put ur skin selling in the market before getting banned it will still be sold after getting banned. So you could literally claim you got scammed, put the skin in the market get the dupe and buy back the orginal from the banned acc.
Duping is what made scammers a lot more prevalent because people just took advantage of a fantastic system. So if you’ve ever been scammed, and couldn’t get your skins back, blame the 2013-2015 community.
@@Dudazz i actually duped a flip knife vanilla and a few keys back then xD i made a ticket because of something else (also item related tho) and they just refunded my last trade lol wasn't russian steam support tho, as i am from germany
@@Dudazz i downloaded a config back in 2015 from a youtuber didnt think much about it 10 mins later all items gone. I contacted steam 24 hours later got all my shit back was worth around 1000€ ^^
Wasn't this done with an inside man? I swear I read somewhere that Russian Steam support was in on this and people from inside kept "refunding scammed items"?
im still sometimes looking back at when i had an m4 howl fn and sold it for like 300 bucks cause i had no knife and was sick of playing without one. with the money i got i then bought a huntsman fade. i hate myself for this. but luckily i still have my fire serpent wich went up in price by like 1000% since i got it.
it wasn't only russian steam support me and my friend lost two knifes on a gamling site back in the day. we contacted support claiming a hack and we got the skins back :d
I'm not sure if it was just Russia. I'm from the United States and back in 2014 I got scammed for a desert eagle Golden koi. When I told steam support they gave me my skin back. I do remember though support telling me they would only do it once. If I ever got scammed again I'd be SOL.
It wasn't just in Russia but the Russians abused it for the longest because their Steam support was either in on it themselves or caught on to the abuse the slowest.
@@titemov that is not why, for years I've always heard that it was specifically the russian steams support. this not a new thing by any means, there was no malice towards russia in that statement, he was simply going along with repeating the same story that has circulated through the community for many years.
remember i got my pc hacked. hacker stole my entire tf2 inventory from unusual team captains to many unusuals. Thank god it was back in the day, and got my items back.
This just happened in rocket league’s economy, they killed off the economy after Epic bought them, but many semi pros were temporarily banned from playing because they were involved.
it happened to me once, I traded tf2 items for a steam game, the guy i traded with was a kid that bought the game with his parents credit card, his parents refunded the purchase so I lost the game that i had activated in my account, I contacted steam support explained the situation, they refunded me the items i traded, but the kid still got to keep the items and got a some kinda of temporary ban, this is back in 2012. I thought many times about abusing this but never had the courage XD
This makes no sense. why would they only ask to refund the Howl and no other skin? Steam support never duped any skins as a refund, and also leaving the supposed scammer unbanned makes no sense. If the guns are the same, then someone with the ability to create skins just duped them or somehow someone figured out to dupe a specific skin.
I got "duped" items a long time ago. I learned the hard way about clicking links when people seem genuine (someone invited me to a tournament and sent a fake voice chat server). Got hacked and got my account back and they gave me my hunstman and ak blue lamanent back.
because duping got so popular steam support no longer gives you back your items, i got actually hacked on tf2 and lost everything and steam support didnt do anything so fr fuck dupers
Omg I just realized that I created duped weapons then. Back in 2014 I was scammed out of like 300€ worth of skins. A knife and other high tier items (Back then a 50€ item was a big deal). I contacted steam support and they gave me everything back. I never thought this created duped skins LOOOOL
That is not an infinite money glitch its called social engineering and is still done everyday not with skins anymore but with amazon and any shop available on the net
1:20 im from Poland and i was actually scammed back in 2015. Some guy was begging me to play with him on ESEA for like 3 weeks and i did, but he sent me some sketchy ESEA client, which i downloaded, but it wouldnt work so we said fuck it and decided to play tommorow. When i woke up my inv was cleaned out, i freaked out, didint know what to do, contacted support and said everything what happend and they gave my items back, i was so happy, didint know it was duped (i was 15) so yeah, it was really helpful for honest players
So originally, the Howl looked slightly different. But the original design had copyrighted materials in it, so they issued a DMCA to valve. Valve, as a result, removed the skin from cases, and made a new design for the howl. Existing owners M4s now look like this, and it has a very specific grade of "Contraband" because it cannot be gotten by any measures other than trading (or duping if you have russian steam support). So its super duper rare

I had a karambit gamma doppler p2 years ago it was the 4th best karambit gamma doppler p2 max green, and now i can't find it.. i was an idiot and gamblet it away :(
It sucks that scammers not only took your skins, but then scammed steam to the point where you now cannot recover them. There is no bottom for these scammers lmao. Basically you can't help victims because bad people will take advantage of that kindness. Then the victims end up with nothing.
This is absolutely fucked up and ruined the steam cs market but honestly people just mad they didn’t think of it first that’s a lot of fucking money right there I’ve seen humans do worse 😭
чел это не русские скамеры были и сапорты стима а украинские, они до сих пор там воруют аккаунты, у россии нет сапортов в стиме только у украины и если у тебя сперли аккаунт то знай это сделали украинские сапорты стима
