I needed this lesson in my younger years. Footwork is everything in boxing. You can throw a million punches but it wont matter if you got not angles or footwork. Especially if you are missing those shots.

This is the most enlightening footwork breakdown I've seen. I'm glad I decided to search for footwork tips again. I wasn't getting it and was soon to give up on learning it. Thank you!

Loma uses the step and pivot often. He'll step with the lead right outside his opponents left foot, then pivots. When he does it, he gains good leverage against orthodox fighters. If they can't cut him off they are left vulnerable.

I was coming from various traditional martial arts background (Silat, Taekwondo, and Okinawan Karate) before transitioned to Kickboxing in 2020. Now I'm interested more with Boxing since it's quite simple yet practical and make a lot of sense. It's been a half year now for me trying to focus with boxing and your channel is definitely one of the best one for me to study a lot about boxing. One thing that I notice on the similarities between all of these fighting arts is that the footwork takes a very important role. So this one is definitely valuable. Thanks a lot for putting your efforts on creating this fantastic channel Charless.

Went to a boxing gym to sign up and watch the coach doing his job, later on when I had the chance to talk to him, he mentioned that he takes a lot of inspiration from Cuban boxing, not only this channel instantly came to mind, but I've just now found this video and turns out he definitely used this video as reference for the class. Mostly the shuffle.

Gonna practice this a ton. More important to outmaneuver the opponent than learning how to punch the hardest.

I'm fully qualified from Eastern Europe ( Soviet) this is the only person who talks with sense and shows what I was learning over 30 years ago. All the rest talks plenty but without certain knowledge.

Amazing video. I wish I learned these type of skills when I did amature boxing. Everytime I move my head I get caught, so as much as I love watching these tutorials a proper hands on coaching lesson is needed.
