As a follow-up to a question from a viewer, I run through how to set up the AKAI mini-MPK Mk 2 to trigger chord pads in Cubase using the pads on the MPK. Similar programming should allow any keyboard that has pads on it to trigger the chord pads in the same way.

In my project in Cubase 10 pro when select the device setting menu for midi mpk port selection, i click ok and the windows of the mpk editor close; when i do the same thing out of cubase the windows remains open .Someone can helps me thanks.

hey bro can you show me how to set up the mpk mini in cubase? i plug it in but there is no sound coming through, there is literally nothing on the internet! pls help me :(

It really should "just work" - the MPK doesn't need drivers installed on macOS or Windows - because both include basic drivers that will let it work. When it's plugged in, and in Cubase you then go to Studio > Studio Setup > MIDI Port Setup, what items do you see in the Port System Name column on the right hand side?

Why is it that you can program the MPK while Cubase is on, and on my side it asks to quit all other midi programs to be able to program it...?

I mapped my program 4 just like yours and it didn't work like yours did. I also had created a generic remote prior to watching your video and all of the edits I did in it are gone. -- I really regret getting this midi controller. It is not for a beginner. -- 😥
