Cube Escape: Arles Walkthrough [Rusty Lake] 

WOW! I didn't know I had a game about me!

Well this one was simple, no random crowbar on walls, no time travel, no alternate endings. Feels good to complete and yet missing the challenge.

Took me a while to figure out that you're playing as Vincent van Gogh

These games are insane. they're really difficult sometimes and I love the eerie-ness of it all. it's fun learning what this game is all about!

One drawing on the wall shows what colour the wine, the water and the absinthe are. The direction of the line shading represents the colour. The other drawing shows which glasses/bottles to fill with which drink, using the same shading to represent the colours. Wine: horizontal Water: vertical Absinthe: diagonal

There's a frickin room in the ear... ok...

Everything is connected! The order doesn't really matter, but just in case u wanna know, 1) Seasons 2) The Lake 3) Arles 4) Harvey's box 5) Case 23 6) The Mill 7) Birthday 8) Theatre

This game actually made me remember my early elementary school years of learning about Van Gogh, and even inspired me to start painting. These games are amazing!

The things i struggled with were 1. the bottles, the can and the cup 2. Finding the gun

Cube Escape: Arles written walkthrough - Thanks to Alisha! We start off in a room. Click the bed. Lift up both pillows. Collect the absinthe bottle. Collect the hat. Click the middle coat/shirt. Zoom out. Turn left. Collect the small key. Click on the empty frame AKA the mirror. Collect the piece of painting. Zoom out. Go left again. Collect the two pieces of paintings from the towel and chair. Left turn. Click on the blue table. Collect the absinthe spoon and the painting piece. Head to your starting view. Click the right-hand painting. Add the painting piece with the teal background. Zoom out. Click the left-hand painting. Add the rest of the pieces. Collect the painting piece. Zoom out and return to the teal apinting. Add the new piece in. Zoom out. Turn right. Click to zoom in on the teal-ish cabinet. Collect the sugar cube, and painting piece. Zoom out. Click on the blue table. Put the spoon on top of the glass. Add the sugar to the spoon. Fill the glass with absinthe until the sugar dissolves (4 times) Collect the painting piece. Zoom out. Return to the bed view. Add the painting pieces in to the paintings. Click on the paintings. (teal=12, dark blue=4) Zoom out. Head to the view with the towel and chair. Use the new golden key on the blue door. Click to open and meet Paul. Give Paul the hat you picked up earlier. Collect the palette. Turn left. Zoom in on the sunflowers. Place the sunflower in your inventory into the empty vase. Click on the flowers to make the single flower rise up. (the most efficient order, top left, bottom left, middle right. Collect the key. Use both keys to open up the cabinet drawers. Collect the wine bottle and knife. Head back to the mirror. Use the knife to chop your ear off. (Side artist's note, van Gogh didn't chop his whole ear off, only a little bit. EDUCATION!) Collect the knife. Zoom out. Zoom in on the table. Collect the water can. Place the ear in the bowl. Collect the brush. Open the drawer and collect the paintbrush. Zoom out. Turn right. Look at the painting below the teal one. Make note of the stripes for the bottles. Peel the corner back. Zoom out and turn left. Click on the painting above the bed. Use your the stripe code to decode where each liquid is to go. Zoom out and click on the table. Place the liquids in their containers. (Water in the left bottle, absinthe in the middle bottle and cup, wine in the jug and right bottle) Click on the ear. Click twice. Make note of the question mark (color and such) Collect once and collect the gun. Click twice again to reach the doors. Click on the grey door. Make note of the code at the top. Zoom out. NOTE THIS REQUIRES MATH (VARIABLES) I'll explain two ways. 1st way-requires lots of thinking Put the drum and the shell on the scale. Click the drum and add the stamp and the hammer. Take off the hammer by clicking it. Put the large shell on the scale with the drum and stamp. Take off the stamp and drum and add the anvil. Zoom in on the grey door. Enter in the code. If it doesn't work go back and think through it. If you give up look at the next way. 2nd way-requires a manageble ammount of thinking If drum equals one, and the small shell is the same weight as the drum... If the hammer is three...and the shell and the hammer are equal to the stamp... Use this to break to code. Zoom in on the grey door. Enter in the code. If it doesn't work, think through it. If you give up, answer's in the next part. -code answer key- The small shell and the drum both equal one. None of the things equal two. The hammer is a three. The stamp equals four. {Small shell (1) + Hammer (3) =Stamp (4)} The large shell would be a five. No things equal 6 or 7. The anvil, the heavest, is an eight. Zoom in on the grey door. Enter in the code. Go through the grey door. Click on the mirror. Use the gun to shoot yourself. Collect the white cube. Zoom out, and turn right. Put the white cube in the right box. Click on the painting with a rag. Click the palette in your inventory, and then the hook on the right hand side of the frame. If you haven't already, make note of the squiggles. (Hint they are around the room. If you know the colours already, feel free to add them in.) If you don't, zoom out and look around the room for the squiggles and take note of their colours. (Free hint: Use the brush on the table) If you feel like cheating, or you're stumped, check out the part below. -painting colours- hn circle=golden yellow gl sky=light blue g moon=darker blue wm mountains=white I line=dark green ra line=teal green ?=black After painting, click the ? hexagon. Collect black cube. Zoom out. Place the black cube in the box next to the white cube. CLICK THE DOOR AND YOU'RE DONE!

3:10 - 3:40 "Just randomly put the drinks in things until something happens."

You can find the ? = black on the trip through the ear, top left just before the gun.

im following the series in order and this is the first game i completed without looking at the walkthrough ! i couldn't believe i got to the ending so i came to see if it's the same 😭 im so grateful to have found this series rn

This series of games is the best of the genre!

lol after I got into the grey room I looked in the mirror I saw the black figure and I was like NOOOOOOOO got the gun and tried to shoot them 😂 I didn’t actually know you were supposed to do it 😂 😂

With black door - you need to know how much KG weights objects, we know at start that Drums weight 1 and hummer 3, using scales we can learn how much other objects weight. (Sorry for bad English).

Me when going through the tunnel in the ear: damn this is scary and makes no sense at all... I dont even see that gun on the ground 😂

The fact that these puzzels cannot be solved without the walk-throughs, caught me off gaurd too but never accept rejection as failure.

That order of drinks thing got me.

I just realized, the inner ear is just layers of a potato jpeg. Clever and resourceful, that's Rusty Lake! :D

This was the only part of cube escaped that i manage to solve with out looking for small hints in walkthrough

1:09 How do we suppose to know that we have to use the spoon and the sugar like that?

So far this has been the easiest for me. I figured it all out within a few hours without a walkthrough, i even figured out the clue on how to pick the right liquid combination for the bottles etc. The weight one required a little trial and error but used logic to get the first couple of numbers, then just went through all the possible combinations until I correctly picked the last two, which only took a few minutes. Enjoyed this one. This is a great series with surreal storylines, and quite pythonesque in places.

Ok, now I know I could've never come up with all these things on my own... I feel so delighted, but also very stupid

I really enjoy these games however some of the logic behind the puzzles really frustrates me, for example the whole ear in the bowl (how would I ever know?) Then the drinks in the right order and finally the weights and door code.

This game is my favorite so far. This is episode 3 right? I'm gonna download the next one

Seriously why am so still stuck on the scale puzzle in some of the rusty lake cube escape series it looks like it’s so easy for everyone don’t know how maybe someday in the future I might be able to figure it out? Man I wish I could do this without walkthrough

this is my 3rd cube escape game and the math puzzle and the bottles are the hardest yet

You can get away with lost of stuff rusty lake but I will not accept grabbing a cube from a painting of a hexagon
