Go Cubs Go! This team has a heart. It used to be once they got behind they seemed to quit (going back to before I was born in 79) but the last decade or less they believe. 2 of 3 from the Yankees is awesome and it's amazing to see the fans of the Cubs up in the Bronx.

Yup . And the Astros lost and Jays comeback n won. Would all 3 have the same record.The bullpen was horrible though. They did day German was going 2 throw around 80 pitches but this was on Boone. German looked great. Unreal.

@@h.l.d.9988 I agree but Gwtman was dealing and the bullpen stunk. That's a game you really need 2 end the first half. I'm usually on Boones side made let Getman throw another 2 or 3 batters. Stop putting Hamilton in all the time of laye. Peralta would have been good 4 the 7th imo. Gleybor has made so many errors though so I guess it's his fault but it was 4-4 going into the 8th.

Today Suzuki had a HR and a SF to help the Cubs come from behind to win! They will be able to go through the All-Star break feeling good as they won the series over the Yanks.👏👏👏 As a Japanese, I am glad he, along with Ohtani and Yoshida, closed out the first half of the season with a home run.🇯🇵🙌

@@David_Theisen Ohtani did the home run derby in 2021, also started and hit leadoff at that All Star game in Colorado, but the derby messes up batters swings, Josh Hamilton said it messed up his swing in the 2nd half after the derby.

Difficult to be optimistic with this Yankees team, even though the bullpen has been arguably the best part of this team, today they all didn't have it... but the offense is awful, I still can't belive Judge got injured on a highlight reel, ridiculous...

To Dylan Lawson the hitting coach I'm going say as a long time Yankee thank you and you shouldn't had been fired. These players are professional baseball players with million dollar contracts who as a team are hitting at pathetic avg of .230 or below. I'm no Boone fan, but I won't hang this one on him. German pitched his perfect game on 6/28. His next start was 7/3 where he got beat up a bit--he gave up 9 hits and was behind 3-0 when he was pulled with 1 out in the 5th. In this game, he was ahead 4-1 and had just walked the leadoff batter. Boone has a bullpen that has to get sorted out if it's going to be of any use in the second half of the season and beyond, so this was a chance to work the pen AND give German some confidence. It's not wrong to think your bullpen should hang on to a 3-run lead from the 7th inning. Torres' error was crucial. That play should have been an inning-ending double play (with 0 runs given up that inning, instead of 3). Boone makes some odd/bad managing decisions, but I maintain that pulling German in this situation wasn't one of them.

This is, what, the eighth time he's done this, and the third or so time with German? And Gleyber's error absolutely flubs the inning and seals the deal. Jeeeeeesus. I defend Boone on a lot of things... But the fact that this is becoming a common occurrence is absolutely inexcusable.

Totally agree, Gleyber f**k the game up....But Back in the Day Good pitchers that were having a good day as German was....They Battled and believe or not most of them got themselves out of jams, German had them off balance, you could see it if you were paying attention, Obviously, boone wasn't that's why they lost this game..... That was a BS move firing. The hitting coach, it’s probably one of the crappies moves an MLB team can do, especially in mid season. I will bet you one thing, if you get rid of Cashman and Aaron Boone at the same exact time in the mid season, I can personally guarantee you that the team will play very differently. By the way, I think Cody Bellinger would look pretty good hitting at Yankee stadium all the time, his father, a former Yankee should lobby for it
