In 2009 I attended a two week immersive permaculture design certification course in Bolinas CA and discovered the magic of mushrooms. The intrigue and awe is still as inspiring now as it was then. I love that they’re getting the recognition they deserve.
We had a very wet season in Colorado one year and there were mushrooms everywhere. I had taken photographs to try to identify them. They worked nicely for this piece.
Music: DFAM project. In an attempt to get to know each of my synths I’m giving them each a month of time. While I’m discovering sounds I record them into my Polyend Tracker Mini and create a song using only the sounds collected from the synth. This tracker song is made of sounds collected only from the DFAM. Very little sound editing to attempt to keep the integrity of the original sound. To keep true to the nature of this project even the photos have not been edited.
