Anyone know if these pumps have to be timed? I have an isl9 with a bad pump. And the front cover has TDC marks on access port for pump drive gear, which also has those marks.
Had a tech state the block was cracked between the fuel pump and the block. In a 2011 Gillig transit bus leaking a serious amount of oil. After some diag. with a bore scope one of the glued in plugs were missing. Not a cracked block. Was advised by my supervisor to replace the pump.
Can you tell me if the idle on this one was just fine? I'm having an issue with my truck. Every time I power into grabbing gears or a hill I get this code the 157 and it eventually seems to starve it for fuel and starts derating. When I start to stop it dies. But it will start right back up. Any ideas?
What is the reason new fuel filter blasting.we are using same high pressure fuel pump. Filter line and filter body also change but again new filter blasting.what is the problem can you help me
this video is not clear on the problem, code 559 sets because of few possible problems, testing the fuel return and comparing with specifications is the way to identify a 559, possible causes are pressure relief valve premature leaking, injector tube leakage, HP pump head is also a problem area, plungers brake or get stuck, in the video plungers seemed to be ok
Most likely this is an issue with the fuel filters, fuel lines, suction screen,or air in the fuel system. Pump on this particular application is very unlikely just because the volume of fuel consumed(transported by this pump) per our is quite low.
I just don't understand why??? Why not install the whole new pump?? and I am not trying to sound like a prick I really wanna know why like what am I missing??
