CNN's Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota ask conservative Matt Schlapp if he was more outraged over the White House Correspondents' Dinner comedy routine than some of President Donald Trump's previous jokes.
Because Trump is on record making fun of multiple people who get flustered when trying to back track what they said. He even used the same motions to mock himself.

She did not joke about abortion. She joked about people who have wavering, hypocritical views of abortion. Those who claim to be anti abortion but is perfectly fine with making their mistresses have an abortion.

It's alright for Trump, who should be setting an example but he's set the tone for calling people out on looks which he has done many times. She wasn't making fun of abortion, she was making a point that some men who are pro life don't mind abortion when it's a Mistress.

This "there are some" argument is the same thing you would probably condemn when talking about religious extremism, or freedom of sexuality (judging from your comment, because thats what I got). the White House Correspondents Association Dinner was a disgrace. If they're not forced to label themselves as a Super PAC of the Democratic Party after this, then I'm certain they should be forced to lose any funding they receive. This interview was good fun!! Schlapp's major offence was taken over the abortion bit, but the thing is, the joke wasn't about abortion per se. Sure there was the "don't knock it until you've tried it" and whatever, but that was just set-up for the real punchline that poked fun at the right-wing hypocrisy on abortion - that is, the fact that conservative after conservative campaigns against abortion only to have it come out that they paid for their high school sweetheart or their 22yr old intern or their "secret mistress" to have an abortion at some point in their past. She even says, "And yeah sure, you can groan all you want..." In other words, she knew she was being crass, she knew those lead-in comments were distasteful. She used them quite deliberately to create feelings of awkwardness and disgusts in the audience before hitting them with the true punchline of the bit, that despite those very feelings you're feeling right now, for so many conservative men it suddenly becomes ok when it's their "secret mistress" that's pregnant and 'needs' to be shipped off for an abortion to prevent their life from blowing up in their own face. Hypocrisy was the joke, not abortion. It's comedy is what it is. It was very well and very deliberately crafted. It was art.
Abortion is a bit different. Ive found conservatives actually whine less about words than democrats by far. At least he was calm and talked. If that was a lefty being grilled he would have yelled and screamed and over talked.

At 1:32 you'll see that "wild gestures" are a part of his antics. Agree or not, it's more believable that Trump was simply being Trump than that he was intentionally mocking the reporter for his disability. In my opinion, he was mocking the reporter, but not for his disability, rather his feigned ignorance... and in that respect, Trump treated him like he would anyone else. Comedy HAS to "cross the line". It's 'job' is to make us laugh about things that make us feel uncomfortable. If it doesn't, it is NOT really comedy OR it is pretty ordinary and probably lame "comedy". Look at Ralphie May, George Carlin, Joan Rivers, Sarah Silverman, Kitty Flanagan (Aussie), Jo Brand (British) and even Stephen Colbert...shockingly OR scathingly funny...(Jim Jeffries {Aussie} would shock the hell out of them!)
