The most unrealistic part of this sketch isn't the cup-phone, it's the fact that there is only one level of middle management before going directly to the CEO. There are at least four more managers and several regional supervisors and a receptionist or two that Tim would have to get through to get to the CEO.

In 5th edition if you play as a warlock with a Great Old One patron, you can literally project voices into peoples minds, with or without their permission. It's not a spell (anti-magic does nothing), and thus has no casting components (you could be sitting nearby reading a book and no one would know), and you don't even need to speak the same language as your target. And, unlike Ghost Sounds or Minor Illusion, no one else will be able to hear the voices (unless you also project them into their mind).

Red cup means your still in college and just woke up from too good of a night. Polystyrene cup means your in a wellness centre after being knocked out by the "medication" in said cup.

I THINK that what's happening is that every time we jump to a reality change, things are actually getting closer and closer to reality. The nice, sober, well-dressed, calm, nice man at the beginning only exists in his own imagination. The hotline is helping him become self-aware of how he is actually behaving, little by little. Ie, on the floor naked surrounded by cops screaming into a cup.

I thought this was going to be a song because it said (feat.) So my brain defaulted to this is a song and y'all brought someone along. I was very confused once I realized they was no singing or music, and then even more confused as there is a solo hotline, followed by more confusion as things escalated. I was not disappointed.... but now I want a song about cups , done by door monster heck I wouldn't care if was a song about a door monster mugs and you just make a 3 min song about why we should buy door monster brand mugs and cups. I then would buy your a mug because it wouldn't just be a mug to me it would be a mug that reminds me of the door monster mug song. Great video.

This was genuinely a great video, not just in the humor, but in the acting, setup, and delivery of everything. The way you guys used household objects (including some of it being recyclable) and basic surroundings in order to tell this short, humorous, and interesting story is just wonderful. Not to mention the simple yet elegant camera work! It is stuff like this that makes me excited for your The Guards Themselves sequel and various such other long-form content. :D

If you look closely you can see that the outer rim of the screen is a bit blurry during the cuts with the call center to show that it's a delusion. I wish I noticed that on my first viewing. And my third viewing I realized that it probably wasn't intentional as the blurriness goes away during the late cuts.

That was a great story. Excellent build up to a clever conclusion. It was all just some drunk dude breaking into a house and talking into a cup. I have one question though... why did his cloeths first increase into winter gear, then into a towel? Did this guy take a shower in the house he was robbing?

@Angry Applesauce, after i've finished cleaning up the bloody vomit (a mark of being assailed by lloyd Webber) i shall retort. for now i'll just listen to ravel's bolero slowed down a bit. It's like listening to some of Cats but it isn't artistically tainted by by the goblin king, so it may draw out the poison and eventually leave me whole. Perhaps some 'Kit and the Widow' or Kander and Ebb shall enliven me. (wow, it looks likes my comment had more of a catty edge than i anticipated arf arf raf)

i knew of the poetry and was once tortured for having a later start time by an ex setting that damnable show as the musical alarm... regrettably i seem to still retain those Memories despite attempts to purge them as a feline might cough up a hairball. i fear that the only common ground can be found in watching this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ii7DTyx0LNE.html and taking in it's hopeful tone about possibility, pink wigs and diamonds in poo.

The sequel to this should have the drunk guy in prison and takes a call from another cup. And as he progresses through another philosophical conversation where he finds himself, he would be breaking out of the prison. Might need a bigger production budget but I think it could work!
