Probably should've used clips from episodes other than S5 ("I need him to be okay" and the entirety of 159, to name a few) but here we are. Audio from The Magnus Archives (by Rusty Quill), with music by Luciano Michelini.
@@crackerpacket7 There is one on AO3 called 'Yesterday is here' by CirrusGray. Where Jon and martin travel back to the institute during S1 to stop everything from happening

What I absolutely love about Jared Hopworth is that although he’s initially a little mocking with the ‘is this your boyfriend’ comment, once Jon is like ‘yeah actually we’re dating’ Jared is immediately like ‘oh damn bro good for you that’s awesome’ Jared may be an eldritch twisted flesh abomination but he is NOT homophobic 😤
you know after listening to ep 200 i found myself wondering how the fandom wasnt traumatized. Then I remembered hysterically whispering "their in another universe and their fine, their in another universe and theyre fine-" repeatedly to try and stop sobbing long enough to go to bed and then waking up, getting ready for school, and somehow having that message get stuck in my brain so even right now I cant really recall the angst I felt that night. The point of all this being: the reason we are able to not cry at any jonmartin is that we are all in deep deep denial, and there are many videoa such as this that prove it.
I love this, but 0:34 hurts knowing the context. For anyone who hasn't listened to s5 a bunch of times and doesn't know the context, that's just as they make their promises in MAG 191... Jon: Martin, when the time comes, I need you to promise me that you won't try to stop me. Martin: I promise. I love you, Jon. Jon: I love you too. Martin: But I'm not going to doom the world over it. Jon: Thank you. Martin: And you have to promise me you’re going to do everything in your power to live. That you’re not going to sacrifice yourself at the first opportunity, just because you feel guilty about what happened. Jon: ...I promise. The scene itself isn't the most painful, but what hurts is the fact that neither of them managed to keep their promises in MAG 200 (I'm sorry)
Well technically Martin kept his promise with the "But I'm not going to doom the world over it" addendum since.... it may or may not doom _other_ worlds, but it does save theirs
fun fact op this just popped up in my recommendations and i was gonna send it to the rusty quill server, but i wanted to make sure it wasn’t sent already- lo and behold you already did
also (spoilers for mag200 for anyone reading) but since the ending is ambiguous as to whether they actually both died or not i am choosing to believe they went into an alternate dimension and are living a peaceful life there
