By the way, you could add rare earth magnets to the angle irons to help keep it firmly attached to your vice, but it will also allow the traveller portion of the roller to move with the vice when you open it. Makes it more hand s free.
Great build, simple and effective. Do you get any slippage as I had a thought that if you did you could knurl the bearing outer surface to get grip. I can see that this would be such a great tool for a small quick job so really well done

Love the economic design. I can't see from this camera angle, but rotating the ring roller 180 degrees (handle closer and the rails pointing away from you) might improve the ergonomics. Reduces reach over the materials and rails that are pointing towards your stomach. Great idea and execution.
