I thought so too but after thinking about it you join Apothecaries during deployment and then before the game starts you roll for Dark Channeling. So Apothecaries joined the units before they became daemons and they may noy voluntarily leave them later.

A month late but a Talons army can really get overwhelmed by any army that doesn't attempt the deathstar strategy (like in this video). Taking a big, expensive transport like a Spartan or Kharybdis and stuffing it full of elite units like terminators along with HQs is precisely how you get massacred by Custodes, or any army with tons of blast/template weapons (like Solar Auxilia). On the other hand, the sheer amount of relatively cheap units, such as Rhinos, is hard for a Talons army to take out in a point-efficient manner. As Scott pointed out, a Talons army is currently is a good spot due to the FAQ getting rid of the more ridiculous stuff like rerollable 3+ invulns and blanket I6 for all Custodes.

Any warboss ork tau rail guns , Drach'nyen ,pretty much any numbers can over run the whole 10000 custodes

@@lukeliming8408 Then it depends on what playstyle do you like: The Imperial Fists have bonuses that ignore cover and such, but forces them to entrench defensively. The black templars can reroll charges, but get no bonuses once in melee. Raven guard gives -1 to hit at your units, but they must stay 12" from the enemy. If you wanna shred with lighting claws and jump pack, you're on your own. Salamanders can reroll a single hit & a single wound. But weapons who benefit from this (such as meltas) are expensive af. White scars have movement bonuses, but only if they advance, so no shooting or charging if you do so. Iron hands get 6+fnp. Worse than Raven guard at more than 12" away, better closer than 12" or in melee. Unlike the others It's always active and thus always help, but is a weak bonus. Custom chapters, or chapters with unknown founding choose any tactic they like, but cannot use specific strategems or WT. Sucessor chapters can use the special strategem of their parent chapter, but not their Warlord Trait. Special mentions beacause they have unique units and codexes: Blood Angels get +1 to wound. Awesome bonus, but only works in melee. Dark Angels reroll 1's if they stay still, and have lots of morale boosts.

So Ghal Vorbak aren't WAAC either then? Why do people hate Custodes so hard when they are just really expensive terminators? they don't get any re-rolls like other legions (and that saved Luka's ass more than once here). Sure, they wipe out tactical squads, but so would a a bunch of justerain or Death shroud - even ghal vorbak would mow down tacticals the same way custodes do. People need to realise Custodes are really expensive terminators and if you play against them as you would 10 terminators bearing down on you then you'll be better at it.

@@wizzpete Its not about normal Custodes its about Telemons, Valdor and the Jetbikes. Play a view games against 6-8 Jetbikes and you know what its about.
