I didn't build it as I would have. Below are the parts I suggest if you want to build a 2s WalkSnail Whoop. Unfortunately no one shop has all our parts. I know huge list of links, trying to reference at least one international shop of the components.

I was just looking at that AIO yesterday afternoon! Most features, 2s capable, but also most money! Spendy little guy! Lol The mistake most others make is using 1102 motors! They add so much weight compared to 0802's, and 0802's are plenty fast! 2.8g per motor vs. 1.9g for a 0802! That's 0.9g x 4 = 3.6g!!! Extra weight we don't need. We're not trying to carry a naked GoPro or an action camera that weighs a lot! Just a lightweight naked Vista or Walksnail equivalent... Which it sounds like, from your title, they don't have! DO YOU KNOW, a naked Vista is only 2 grams heavier than the 1S WalkSnail board? So, this can all be made, right now, with DJI inside! A 75mm DJI 2S whoop! Mine currently weighs 38g, but a guy I talk to once in a while, flies a whoop that's 35g! He and I both think we can get close to turning the corner on 30g! It's very possible if "Mr. Shutterbug" tactics are used! 😜 That will give us 120fps, 810P with V2 goggles, 1200mw, Full Betaflight OSD in goggles, and the best image quality in all of FPV! 😎🤘 The places we can explore and go behind and around, i.e. penetrate, with crystal clear video is AmaZing!!! Give it a try! 0802's work fine and that's a key way to keep the weight low. 😁👍 I use the exact same lipo. Build it!

I found an old stock Mobula7 2s with HDZero at TBS and snapped it up. So far I'm really digging it. My only other HD whoop is a Meteor 75 with Walksnail. I like it too but only 1s holds it back. My little house just isn't laid out for whoop flying and all my flying is done outside. I agree 100%. Happymodel needs another 2s whoop in their stable.

Love these, more please. This is the one thing I think that got me really going bananas for this hobby. Tinkering. Not all ideas are good ideas or work out as hoped/planed. Some surprise us. Shame it's because of supply issues. If it flys, it's a successful build. If it rips, it's a keeper. If it flops, hopefully it doesn't crash and explode and you have a platform to mess around until parts are available. Mob7V3 flys better with the 1102's I think. Hoping your local brick and mortar get's a surprise delivery. Would love to see an update once you get the bits you were looking for. Nice flying! Hope to see the V2 soon! Wow. Just built a naked vista version with the exact same parts yesterday, except with the ELRS flat antenna. I call it a cruxula hd, but haven't flown it yet because I'm having issues with the naked vista powering on, which I'm working on while watching this. Mine currently weighs 41g with a small buzzer. I'm sure it won't be a great performer, but I only have DJI and wanted something digital I can fly indoors.

So I had my old mobula 7 hd collecting dust on a shelf the past couple of years and figured it had most of what I need... Some issues to be aware of, the 1102 motors sit taller which creates clearance issues for the props and the vtx cables/camera cables. I used another set of gummies to raise it up a bit, with the Crux 3 canopy and an ep2 receiver I came out at 40.8 grams.

Heh I guessed incorrectly, which is annoying because I’d built my own custom 2S Walksnail 75mm - Same FC, but I used HM 1102’s 9000kv motors so mine is heavier. Need to try smaller batteries as the 450’s get me 6 minutes but it’s a bit of a brick.

I saw your RU-vid Short for the flight footage with this quad! I was surprised by how fast you were flying indoors haha. Those crux canopies are great, robust and lightweight, same with the frame! About 36.5g isn't too bad for a Walksnail 2s whoop! I agree from the videos that I have seen, the 1002 has very specific applications that it works best for. Cool to see a comparison of all of the flight footage, thanks for providing that! I also saw your RU-vid Short on those magnifying glasses, seem like a pretty good tool for building! Also, this is the 1S WS board you would buy as a standalone, not the one that comes in these BNF quads so wonder if the NEW WS 1S boards that come in the BNF and were just announced the other day as being lighter might be the diff? drive.google.com/drive/folders/1L4QWG_wte64FpPyfSH-xgIO4ILnNzOfM?usp=sharing
@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV Год назад
@@afterburnerrc6333 I don't have the capacitor, which likely adds a gram+. The battery led length is longer than mine. The vtx antenna is also longer than mind, likely about .5 gram there as well. I have also found the Eachine AE65 canopy is .5 grams lighter than the crux3. The downside of the AE65 canopy there is a gap between the camera and side of the canopy, I filled the gap with some rubber from a micro camera adapter, which after cutting didn't register on my scale. We can also cut some weight using the newbeedrone azi props. Other minor weight savings would be the motor wire length. For a 2s whoop I think if we can shave 2grams that would be good, but it will still handle fairly weight at the 41grams it is.

That was great. What's your opinion of the Walksnail digital system? Specifically in comparison to dji, image quality, latency.
@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV Год назад
On the micro side of course the image quality is on par with the dji system, and for me in my environment the penetration and signal quality is on par as well. The WS system weight is less with the ability to run on 1s whoops as well. Those invested in DJI can do close but not easily and I don't think we will see a manufacture make a 1s dji whoop until or if DJI makes a 1s compatible single board option.

Now that’s a nice build!! I’m new to the mini whoop world after getting a free blade inductrix FPV+ and learning basic flight/controls I’m very much interested in getting a more nimble and customizable whoop my question is would buying an already BNF moblite7 and slowly upgrade it as things break or building one part by part a better option and sticking with my current outdated one for now? Like I said earlier I’m really new to these mini FPV’s and just don’t know what brands or where to start, and input or ideas will be greatly appreciated!
@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV Год назад
The least expensive is to buy a bind and fly whoop like the mobula6, moblite7 etc. Building will cost more. Many started with the inductrix, but its a fair investment to move on to more "hobby grade" whoops. We will need charger, radio and googles if we want to do fpv. I say enjoy what you have and save/research what you are looking forward to.

Are we needing motor screws or body/canopy screws? I bought a motor screw kit off of amazon, the motors use m1.4, generally 3mm, but its handy to have other lengths. Search amazon for m1.4 screws there are some kits that come in a circle container. For body/canopy screws I often go to ebay and look for m1.4 screws and buy them in various lengths from 5mm all the way up to 10mm. 10mm is really handy for HD whoops and getting a lot of screw down through the post.

Hdzero for the weight it s to much important for a whoop😏🙌🏼
@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV Год назад
No, its a close tradeoff, walksnail image and penetration is better, but hdzero is lighter and has consistent latency that I do notice when flying inside. I try to give everything a fair shot and if I build I tend to spread the builds out over the eco systems, then if someone only has one of the video systems they will be able to see a whoop option for that system

What do you think about Tattu 450mAh 7.4V??? An additional 150 mAh for an extra 9 g.
@NickBurnsFPV
@NickBurnsFPV Год назад
For me I am not a fan of flying a bigger battery for indoor purposes. 9grams is a lot, nearly a 1/3increase in weight. But if that is what we have it will work, the agility will be heavily impacted, making faster or aggressive indoor flight more challenging.

I still crash that move a fair bit, I need to get it down more solid for it to appear in a video. I try to avoid super crashy flights as that can impact the flight time and perception of a quad or build.
