This guy job is so avaiation quality.. i wish u have kit for specific car sizes that we can order it..something we can assemble it..i luv this set up for honda pilot😍✌️
Some nice work simple ideas I have a second gen I am building that 3 kids and one adult will be camping out of so I like the simple things I won't be sleeping in my rig so I plan to do more storage in the back but I like this idea to work off of
Once again, you've given me a FABULOUS idea! I too, wanted a space for a drop in sink for dishes. Do you think it would work if we did a similar drawer system BUT modify the sink section on OTHER end of the drawer? For example: Pull out the left drawer like you have it, but the sink portion would come out from the FRONT of the drawer and mounted UNDERNEATH. You wouldn't need the sides of the sink portion in that case, just a flat piece with a hole in the middle.. Would that work? *ponder*
I love this build! Only thing that would be different is my driver side 2nd row would stay up cause I would use it for my work station. I'm so ready to build I just need to find space.
8/7/2020 I like this one a lot. A hide box would be nice. Lift out the sink, have a drop door with a barrel key lock on the blind space under counter for valuables under counter around the sink. I have been thinking about safe storage of valuables while traveling. Paper like insurance, titles, deeds, warranties, personal Ids, personal med records and just plain gold. A lot of info copies can be on thumb drives but a passport and a 9mm and a good map would be my choice to add. Don
You do not need the hide box in the sink drawer. Place the box at the end of the first slide out drawer just large enough for a glove box . It might shorten the storage sq in in the first slide out but would be stealth and slide back under the bed. Could be accessible from rear seat but I would not for max security. Don Note thanks for the videos. Truly cool and good workmanship. @@SolidWoodWorx
Hey Brian I've been watching your wood worx you tube videos and really enjoy the ideas and craftsmenship. I also just was watching a bunch of overlanding videos and you came up on your mission to Panama! Frickin killer. Anyway I'm planning a road trip from my home in Steamboat Colorado thru Utah, Arizona down to Cali then Baja end of February to beginning of April. I'm currently putting my truck bed design together and starting my build this weekend! I'm an experienced Carpenter for over 20 years. ( need any help this winter??) be in California end of December into January to finish prep for baja Any advice? Last time I drove down the tip was1996. Anyway thanks for the stoke maybe I'll come check out your shop while in California
I’m wondering how much weight these will support when fully extended? And how you anchor the inside cabinet so it doesn’t tip up? Very nice, professionally done work. 😎
Great setup! Can you give info on where to find the drawer slide pairs that only have the lock lever on the one (left handed) side like you have in this build? Loooking for some 42-48” heavy duty lock-in/lock-outs. Thanks!
Have you had any customers do a single side drawer? I'm 6'4" and like the ability to sit upright on my bed area, but can't with a platform. Considering doing the left side only of this build with the extra pullout counter space. Issue I'm running into is mounting it.
Hi mate, how do you do to support the weight of the drawers (and whatever is in them) when opened? Is the build drilled to the car...? or is the weight of the sleeping platform enough to outweight the drawers? Thanks, love your builds they're great inspiration.
I would love to build out my truck bed along side you so I may learn some of the process and techniques. Is that something that you might be interested in?
I'd like a step by step guide or like atleast dimension or something so I can mimick this I plan to buy those locking slides 36 I really dig this help me out
Hey Corey, I sell plans on my website for a basic system like this that can be altered. At least it would give you somewhere to start. www.SolidWoodWorx.com
Any way you could make the under storage one big space without a center divider if you used metal crossbars to hold the sleeping platform and keep it from bending under weight? I've been toying with the idea for my 4Runner. No drawers. Just one big open space underneath.
The 4runner seems a very good choice for an suv you can convert like this. I'm curious does someone know if there's enough place to fit a cooler if you remove the back seats? or if you can only remove only one of the seat for that purpose? I didn't find anybody who tried it on youtube.
@@SolidWoodWorx great! I just went and checked the build you posted july 2020, it seems like there is enough place to fit a tiny cooler. Thanks for posting your videos, it's very inspiring and it gives a lot of great ideas.
I just started watching... its awesome what you do. I'm finally getting my 1998 4runner ready for some camping. Do you have a price guide for your builds?
@@SolidWoodWorx sorry to bug again... what the cost to build the classic bed and drawer system for a 3rd gen 1998 4runner. Like the one shown on April 24th, on your channel. Thanks.
I have a 2001 Dodge Durango SLT on which i'd like this exact set up. I am in Florida and would like to know if this is something you would be able to build out of given measurements and then ship over to me.
That's awsome man. I need one built for a 3rd gen. My idea is alot different then normal. I need a lockable gun case and meat cleaning station. You can see my 4runner on my page. I'll send an email in the next week if your interested?
In the diy plans i sell there is a list at the end of what the amount of o wood needed to cut the system out. For this double drawer i do not have any sort of diy plans or material list.
