Hey Bryl, good to hear from you. Hope you like my channel. And can’t wait to see what you’ve done with the bike. It’s a beast and I will be honest I miss it lol 😂, will be building another beastie soon.
G I just wanted to see if you can explain how to check air shifter timing and to set and am still improving on her and hasn't gone for first fly as yet 😊
Hi Bryl, that shifter is an HM plus it doesn’t utilise air, it was calibrated on the dyno but you basically hold the black button on the back of the control module then key on it’ll count down 5 to 0 when it hits zero release and it will be in programming mode, from there you tap black button to cycle through the settings and and hold down to move to the next setting once you’ve gone through them it’ll revert back to Home Screen
Bike not running. If you want GP shift you only need to turn the linkage 180 degrees then set the shifter from c (compress) to e (extend) and it will be GP style 1 up and 5 down setup
what update you did on the oil system? I have a gsxr1000 K4 turbo and i'm facing some issues with the oil pressure. I updated the oil pump and valve with the schnitz racing gear and valve but still some issues.
Good day. Apologies for delay in replying. I had fitted the upgraded pressure relief valve and the high volume gear but also removed and blanked the oil cooler. On GSXR1000 you must drill the main crankcase divert restriction or you will have oil pressure issues. It's the casting inside the lower casing that diverts the oil to the oil cooler. I had 40psi on idle and 100+psi on high rpm.
Well the pack thickness should be set if I recall totally thickness is around 49.8mm if it's still slipping and plates are new then it's maybe a good idea to measure the e spring free length they could've fatigued. Lastly if your clutch isn't adjusted correctly and have free play on lever it can slip. For the gsxr1000 I would prefer semi synthetic based oil 10w50 will be fine. Hope this helps.
Hi there are 2 predominant tapping/ticking sounds you’ll hear one being the exhaust echo if yours is turbo there is a lot of back pressure until rpm raises so the valves will chatter a bit and the other is the injector solenoids clicking on and off these are big injectors so make a bit of a noise. Hope this answers your question.
It's got big boy parts on it 10 bar fuel pump 660cc injectors, best to always go big so you don't tap duty cycle. Enjoy the content. Thanks for watching
Apologies for late reply. It's a 2004 gsxr1000 chassis, fully forged engine (wossnner 10:1 pistons, forged rods, billet crank, upgraded clutch and oil system and more) and a GT28 AR0.6 turbo.
