Nicely done, love the organization. Getting a tandem bike in would really be a challenge but not high risk for theft when carrying on a rack outside anyways. Have fun!

Just wanted to chime in and say thanks for going to all the trouble to show us just how you're able to have such fun with your casual lifestyle. I watch the mod video, and now the van garage tour. Love it! After a full year maybe it was time to spring clean the garage? :-) After traveling in the Zion SRT I bet it was nice to understand your lifestyle and have a van created just for your needs and wants. I'm glad you're making these videos! I'm building out a bed frame right now and it's really helpful to see and your insight on the access panels is helpful. I also really like the seat storage on the 29r. I just made sure my 27" mountain bike would fit yesterday and that's such an obvious solution but one that I didn't see. Thanks y'all.

@@gustersongusterson4120 They make rv specific mattresses that are a bit short but still tight in our van. We buy a memory foam mattress and cut off 7 or 8 inches off the length. A really sharp bread knife works great.

Another great video. I have known from the start of planning my van that I want drawers and slider trays in my garage, this video confirmed how nice they must be. I'm super impressed with your organizational skills. I just travel in my van so don't have near as much stuff, now I know for sure my stuff will easily fit when I get that far in my van build... :) Thanks for sharing more creative and useful information.!

It’s a love hate relationship.😜 There are things we like and things we don’t. We talk briefly about it in tomorrow’s video but ultimately we will do a whole video about it after a year full time with it. There are definitely advantages and disadvantages and you have to weigh them based on how you live and or travel. Would make for a very long reply.

REvisiting this video - there are so many useful ideas in it! You show a lock pin that you insert into the slide-out bike trays and drawers - our glides are not lockable ones either, can you share what the locking pin device is and where you bought it? many thanks and happy holidays!

Thanks. I think they are actually called locking pins and I’m pretty sure we got them at a tractor supply store. I’m sure they are on Amazon. Might even have them on our products page of amazon links on our website.

Nice video, the garage layout stows away a lot of gear/tools with good access. Initially the turf/matt was stored in a capped plastic sleeve to prevent transferring insects/bugs to inside the van, now appears to be bagged instead. What changed your procedure?

Thanks. It was a pain to try and get my rug in and out of it. It worked great in theory;) The bag holds a much bigger rug easily.

Hi guys, great video - it gives me hope that we'll be able to also fit in everything that my partner wants to bring (and well, me!) because right now I look at the room with all the stuff we plan to bring and it's amazing to think it will all fit! that being said, I have some questions; are your center drawers in the garage made of 3/4" ply or 1/2"? We are thinking of 1/2" just to save on weight but we'll also have 'stuff' similar to yours - tools, camp oven, etc and wanted to be sure a 40" span by about 15" wide would work with 1/2". thanks, and keep on rolling!

thanks for the review of your garage. what are your thoughts on size of aluminum extrusion for the skeleton...both garage, galley and upper cabinets. 1.5" or 1"? I like the idea of doing it all in 1" for weight and space and cost but dont want to lose the strength and stability of 1.5" Also trying to avoid having the two sizes to simplify connectors and parts.

I also like the idea of just one size and using only one inch for size and weight saving. Maybe for things that need extra strength you can bolt two one inch pieces together. 😉🤷‍♂️

Hi! We just picked that up at Home Depot, off the giant rolls towards the back of the store. It’s the thinnest they had and it does pack up nicely. They seemed to discontinue the thin one so we switched to this and never looked back. Far superior and the dirt/sand falls right through. amzn.to/3t6pJyB

I'm curious what the height is from the surface of your bike trays up to the bottom of the cross-mounted aluminium rails? I'm working on tweaking my build plans and I'm going to do a sliding tray for my bikes (though I'll be putting two on a bit-wider tray, staggered lengthwise slightly to allow handlebars to get along with each other). I'll have my roadie and a 26" trail bike, but I want to future-proof things in case I later opt for a 29er. Thanks!
