Thanks for the comment Brian! I wish I could get a stock ysr but you are right, they are so hard to find now and much more than I can afford haha. Can’t complain tho I got a pretty nice ysr, just wish it had the stock engine. Working on a second video right now and should be up soon, stay tuned👍🏼

@@Mechanic_kid thanks for replying, yeah these bikes are as rare as hens teeth. I searched craigslist everyday,multiple times a day for over 2 years and I got super lucky and found one 50miles from me and I called with in 10min of the post being up, I got mine for $500 but it was rough, I had to rebuild the engine,buy an exhaust which was $350, had to restore the tank and coat it because it was rusted out which took several werks to repair and had to repaint everything, the bike is 99%done, I still need to paint the lower and upper front fairing but other than that it is done. I always have loved these bikes and wanted one for a long time but they almost dont exist and they either sell for way too much or get snatched up instantly. Also I have went through a the trouble of making it street legal again and some of the parts like the mirrors sell for $250 a side if you can even find them, and my bike and the front fairings shattered so I had to buy some off Ebay and they were $300 a peice, needless to say it was a very difficult and expensive restoration for me but now the bike is very nice, and very fun to ride and get compliments and people interested in it all the time. Cant wait to see the next video of this bike, keep it and dont sell it if you can, it would be hard to replace.

@@briang4470 ya these bikes are definitely one of a kind! Glad people are bring them back to life and restoring them. Definitely will be doing a few more videos on the bike just because there’s not that much content on them!

I’ve heard it would go upwards of 60mph. Still needs some work tho but it’s close. Then I’ll do a top speed test on it!

They are called daughless rims. Very rare!
