Well to be honest, as many of the total rust outs I have seen on the channel, I think the oil bath is a good option in that rust belt part of the country. Just sayin.
Do you mean the Accura video? Looks like a very discharged battery to me. Common for the dashboard and sometimes body systems to do weird things on a flat battery.
2:39 repeated spun bearing after rebuild is: 1: Improper break in 2: Improper installation 3: wrong bearing oversize. (which goes back to improper installation, because the plastigauge check should show improper clearance) 4: Bad machine shop work. (Which should have shown in the plastigauge check...)
Those eco-top tires are retreaded. Those are from a b-quality pile. Otherwise Ok tires, just the process of gluing the sides are f-d up. They are old as heck but cheap.
i realize not everybody is able to afford perfect equipment.but i dont see is how they can gamble with everybodys life by driving vehicles that are litterally death traps to everybody on the road.even the most inept drivers should be able to tell when something is MAJORLY WRONG.
That one vehicle with the fantastic oil undercoating is perfect for the most northern state's that get Allot of snow & ice treated with road salt products !!!! Don't have to worry about it rusting away , that person is lucky !!!
@@jthonn When they can afford to upgrade to a better vehicle , all they have to do is do a good degreasing power washing to it primarily on the bottom and let it go as an almost rust free vehicle , getting them a good price for it to help them upgrade to a better vehicle . lol
@@abpsd73 naa the frame makes me think older than that, a lot older, mustang in the shop makes me think its a classic car repair, but i cant tell what make or model
@@TheCatOfAges The heat shield on the muffler looks a lot like OE Ford from the late 80s. My 89 Ranger had the same style of muffler and small stones would get trapped in it and rattle.
Mechanics and gynecologists are very similar. Most get into it because they like the subject of their work when it is shiny, clean, and smells good. Then they find out that nobody goes to either because things are in good working order under the hood.
Had to rebuild transmission on brand new tractor after 6 hours of operation. Definitely a cleaner and nicer job than the older ones, usually buried in soil. Something's wrong there...
If it keeps spinning bearings, the rods or mains are not round,. If it spins a bearing it must be align honed, or rods repaired, or replaced, a lot of new rods can't be repaired like the old rods could,
Or the point is how can someone own a BMW and not care about cleaning the filth of the wheels. My cars are 15+ years old and yet I keep the wheels clean.
So, if that engine has just spun its third bearing in quick succession, there's clearly another issue. I'd probably be checking to make sure the oil pump is good and no internal channels are clogged
Add the two minute and three seconds mark you can see the arrow on the tire pointing in One Direction, but I really could not tell where is the front or the back of the car to see if those things were even put in the right way??! By the way of condition those tires, I would say probably wrong Side of the car as well as having more cracks than a Chinese bathhouse! :-) Hope you folks said that they were not even safe for next week. Never mind the next season!
@@theglitch99 Skin cancer ftw! Depends on the job but most harder jobs in the engine bay will definitely see even the toughest disposable gloves rip. I'm not a fan of having grazed, bleeding knuckles filled with crap though so I usually wear those cheap (about a pound a pair in the UK) gloves made from stretchy textile with rubber coated fingers and palms. They only last about one job a time but worth it just to not smash your hands up alone.
Unless someone's fitted a battery with the terminals the opposite way around (the cable routing won't eve physically let you do it) I'd say that's a flat battery. Modern stuff does some weird things when they have flat batteries! Another thought, where round posts are concerned the negative post is almost always smaller in diameter which means you shouldn't be able to connect them the wrong way around... though never discount the 'ingenuity' of idiots!
No reflection on you, these videos are terrific. However, I feel like a great of the submissions are totally staged. Still enjoyable and laughable content. Thanks for posting. 👍
@@paulthomson2375 The Accura with the flickering dash lights for one. That's a flat battery and nothing more. The only problem there might be a worn out battery or a charging system fault but the 'fault' in the video isn't a fault.
