@@momurderah you don’t need to change the module. Either the dealer or if you smart enought to get a cracked dealer program or with a obdII capable of reading the module you can erase or reset the module after replacing the triggered sensors and airbag. I have actually (I do not recommend) replaced airbags only without changing the triggered sensors and reseting the module of a toyota using Techstream (their dealer software). And the code doesn’t come back. Some sensors still work fine after impact but once it triggers the module, you have to have the correct software to reset it.

For anyone who doesn’t know, when you disconnect your battery to work on any part of the SRS system leave the battery unplugged for at least 15 minutes before working. That lets any residual charge disperse. It only takes the tiniest bit of electricity to set those bags off. Even with the battery unplugged. No codes because you disconnected the battery. You have to drive it possibly 100 miles before it resets. You can also cancel all the codes with the onboard diagnostics devise. It still needs to Recalibrate. A mechanic once told me how to Recalibrate, not sure I remember, 55 mph for 2 minutes, 45 mph for 2 minutes, 35 mph for 2 minutes, I think that was the sequence. No pause. It's hard to find a stretch of highway you can go 55 and 35 safely. My method was 55 in a 45 zone, then 45, then 35 with the flashers. I can't be positive about the speeds.

Air bag vids. Now here is a great liability, even with the verbal " disclaimer". Remember, people will bring a law suit, for , implying that breathing air is good for you, so, they put a compressor hose up thier butt, end up in a wheel chair, then sue someone. 😂

This does work although not all part numbers are interchangeable and this DTC can set for an incorrect part number so be careful. Always disconnect the battery when servicing SRS systems One more thing, you shouldn’t use any SRS components from a wrecked vehicle of any sort.

Came to say this. Former GM tech here. Had an early 2000’s pickup come in with airbag codes. Someone tried swapping them out of a cargo van, but no go. Two correct part number sensors and hood to go, with how sensitive SRS system is, don’t cut corners.

There are no codes because you disconnected the battery and then didn't drive the car. After clearing the codes (disconnecting the battery) you would have to drive it to allow the computer to find any present dtc codes.

How do you know, the truck you took it off from in the junkyard, wasn't in a collision. Just because has a new bumper and a new grill in it, doesn't mean it wasn't in a collision. I used to build a hundred of those trucks a year. In a dealership collision shop. Unless you know how to properly identify whether or not a vehicle has been enough front-end or any type of collision... You could be installing the detonator for your airbag.
