Two common causes for most of these: 1) most car owners don't have a hoist and wouldn't know what they are looking at if they had one; 2) cars sometimes have dramatic issues that the driver couldn't hope to solve on their own, mostly because of point 1. That's not to mention that some issues are just stupid expensive

Older ones from end of 90s and beggining of 2000. 1.9TDi clockin easly 500k+ kms with oil changes every "i think there is some liquid libricatin my engine, i should change it or at least look into owners manual how often do I need to change it. Ooh, I'm 2 years and 15k km over."

Rust is really a Shit thing to happen - if you dont undercoat your car yourself - somehow nobody wants to Do it. Buy 2 Gallons of Fluid wax, a Handsprayer with Hose and pipe then rent a Lifter and Diy.

Looks like somebody forgot to torque the rod bolts on that big diesel engine. And someone eng. should put new bolts in that happened so fast you think he just left one bolt off the rod. So funny the guy didn't even notice it was knocking when he was starting it up. What a waste of clean oil.

In a modern car? Good luck. It takes that long to get it on the ramps and remove the skid plate alone. Then the plastic drain plug ever so gently (gotta make sure to buy two, because the mandatory replacement doesn't come with the filter kit) and realize it won't drain properly because it's on ramps. My sister's 2000 yeah, it's a 15 minute job, or my 1980. Metal pan, metal drain plug properly tightened. But not my 2020.

Have an 03 F250 diesel that was changing the fuel filter. One of the times looked up to find a 10mm ratchet wrench perched but not stuck between the transmission & frame...not mine...probably left there during one of it's visits to the dealer by a PO. 10s of thousands of miles just hanging out...so getting lost isn't just the 10mm socket's job.

We put an AC conditioner pump on a Ford I believe and it was rotating in the wrong direction. And my friend heard something hissing under the dash😅 he stuck his head under there when it exploded😂 he was okay but it's kind of like a shotgun going off

8:39 - I would venture that most of us watching are NOT mechanics. There for, we would NOT know if the welds or whatever on the semi is safe or not since you don’t tell us what we are seeing. Again, tell us what the heck we’re looking at so we can appreciate it as well.
