Cut flowers rescued from landfills, given to people in the community 

Sunday is Mother’s Day, so it’s a sure thing a lot of moms will be receiving flowers. But you don’t really need a special occasion to give flowers. Sometimes, they’re just what someone needs to brighten their day. KPBS's John Carroll recently met a group of women in Point Loma who bring a lot of brightness into a lot of lives every week with flowers. They call themselves the “Petal Pushers.”
