It's amazing how beautiful all those scraps when combined, make this quilt. Also, I thought with the checkered sashing, you could make a quilt as you go, or would the stretchyness of those triangle tip ones not make that viable.?

Although I haven't done a quilt as you go in a very long time, I would use lots of starch when pressing and sew a basting stitch along the edges before stitching the next vertical row or sashing. I would think this is a perfect candidate for quilt as you go! Thanks for the comments and thanks for watching! Good luck with your project.

What a beautiful quilt. I have so many orphan blocks, all colors, but not enough to make a quilt, but too many for a table topper. This combination is brilliant and a great way to use them up. Thank you for a fantastic idea!! ❤️

Before I started sorted them, I just threw everything in a bin. But each time I needed something I would sort them out again and again! I think that's the definition of insanity! Thanks for watching.

I have several orphan Rail Fence blocks, (different sizes) piano key borders I've been building with varied width strips, and Diamond in square blocks. Hope to get them together in a top soon.
