Instantly subscribed as soon as she said “Use your head” and “Only in America, people ask how much water”! My type of person. Literally speaking my words and has the same thoughts I have. Only in America, people are retarded in the kitchen and culinarily. I don’t own any type of kitchen measuring instruments. I grew up in the kitchen since a very young age watching, asking and using my hands, brain and soul for everything everywhere I went and even if the cooking and preparations were done, you can bet I always asked adults what went into it and how something was made. You’re born with this gift or you’re not and then as an adult, you’re pretty much a retard like the way this amazing Indian Auntie is describing and can’t for the life of you, just use your common sense in the kitchen. Thank you for being you and telling Americans bluntly how retarded they are 🙏🏽.
Here is the recipe from the video - Boil how much ever water you want. Add SOME tea. Add a BIG PINCH of ginger. Add another TINY PINCH of ginger. Add crushed pepper until IT FEELS ENOUGH. Add oatmilk - just a HAIR EXTRA. Add agave - A TOUCH Bring to a rolling boil. Add a LITTLE BIT of more ginger. Strain and serve.
I can’t believe she said Dum Dum dummies 😂😂😂😂it’s hilarious and ginger taste like potatoes in America, God !!! You really are good at tickling the humour bone…….😊
Hilarious.....that's how we Indian cook...with amazing chemistry......pinch of this dash of that... Touch of this...and little that thing...and it's perfect...sluurrrppp
Oh my gosh, Thank you Aunty Z for finally saying what we have all been thinking! I'm so sick of people asking me how a recipe is made and then driving me mad with their questions about how much how much? People! Cooking is also about personal taste and preference! Trial and error!! Yes to that! Common sense - yes to that! Yes to You Aunty Z!
Best take always… use your head, no recipe book, trial & error, make mistakes… fantastic Zarana! This is how I learn my cooking. Because at the end you come out with your own creative version…. Eureka!!! 🎉
This video is the essence of Indian cooking.. I remember my sister giving me cooking instructions exactly like this in the childhood.. add whatever you like as much as you like.. 😂😂 Indian cooking is more of an art than science
You got it right! I always got the reply 'andaaze se', whenever I approached elders for how much ingredients to add when making chai. And not to boast, I can now make the perfect cuppa!
😂 omg u r d voice of all immigrant indian mom, i can say i resonate with u soo much, u r d only show i binge watch,,, keep coming, i can do with more of this😅
One of the smartest ladies I have come across in my life. And the way she says "BOMB" multiple times, I'm won't be surprised if homeland security comes looking😂
Iconic lines from food content creators on how much of an ingredient to use: "I measure with my Chinese eyeballs." "Until your ancestors tell you to stop." And now we have "Use your head. Some."
"Use your head!" Love you! We are not all dumb. Years of being told by people from India how dumb we are. Lots of friends from India. I don't take it personally.
I believe chai needs the perfect chemistry to be perfect. If you want the perfect dhaba chai, you need full-cream milk and water in 1:1 ratio. If you use double toned milk, you need to use less water. If you use those slim milk, then NO water at all! STEP 1: Add 1 teaspoon tea leaves for each cup of chai to the water (I take 2 teasps for my tea cup & keep increasing as per cup size; for 250ml mug i use 1.5 tablespoon😅). STEP 2: Once it heats enough to be crimson, add the milk and bring to a rolling boil; wait 2 more mins. STEP 3: Now simmer for few more mins till the colour is just 2-3 shades less dark than chocolate. Strain and drink the elixir with Parle G biscuits. EDIT: Remember to buy strong 'danedar/granular' tea (e.g., Tata Agni) and not the leafy ones that open up in water
she is making guju chai gone American! And Cutting is only heard in Bombay - If it is called elsewhere put a comment here. Aunty Z is very preety. she would look great on screen and she throws her weight around with her weight ! LOL
@@lailarafiq123 I don't know what cutting is. This is how every north Indian chaiwala (and north indian households) and every railway station chaiwala makes tea 🤤🤤
@@Damien1_1 cutting is a term used for half a glass of chai sold in the streets of Bombay. it is also the cheapest form of chai. so we ask the vendor - " ek cutting " NOT cutting chai. The tea leaves are boiled to death, ginger is added and the milk just shows its face ( a tiny bit) it is great to beat hunger and a chai available for those on a shoe string budget. these kind of vendors are mostly near colleges. We had one near by
OMG....We in India do not work with measurements we just have a feel for "how much" to use in a recipe....common sense people...I get this woman...disclaimer...😂😂😂😂🎉❤🎉❤❤
😂 love it!!! Btw only suggestion I have is try using organic ginger it's got the kick/spiciness regular ginger just doesn't have....love the measurements 😅
