1st one has interesting patterns.

It did, but it was just quartz mixed with some sort of sentimental red rock

There is 100% safer way of cutting those! If you could make me a coaster out of an agate, that would be dope!

Can't cut yourself on that blade 😁 Also that would be a very small agate

When I went to rock cutting school, the "hold it in your hand" method wasn't invented yet.

Well that must have made it difficult

@@Censored_By_Google I believe in this instance we're both victims to false beliefs about the other's intent 😁 it would be difficult to cut a rock while holding it with your toes

thanks for sharing. do some research, find out what types of stones are in your area and where to find them. you'll get better at picking up the gems and ignoring the leavorites.

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm just getting into rocks and such; but isn't that gold in the big rock?
@adventures-with-joe
@adventures-with-joe Месяц назад
It looks quite a bit shinier on the camera than it does in person. It's not gold, but it is very shiny 😁

It's a diamond tile saw blade
@myalterego2878
@myalterego2878 Месяц назад
@@adventures-with-joe works good on most rocks? And a follow up question, they use diamond grinding blade for shaping gems?
@adventures-with-joe
@adventures-with-joe Месяц назад
@@myalterego2878 yeah it cuts through pretty much everything. It's just a regular diamond grit blade you can get at any big box store. If you're gonna be cutting my hand just make sure you don't buy a blade with the spaces. Continuous blades won't cut you
@adventures-with-joe
@adventures-with-joe Месяц назад
@@myalterego2878 I think they mostly use flat laps for shaping gems. A saw blade wouldn't be precise enough

@@adventures-with-joe I was thinking, I've got a disc grinder I can put in a vice but it might take a lot of buffing to get the scratches out
