It makes me so happy to see young ladies learning all the heirloom sewing technique and sharing with the world. How you are able to maintain sewing with three little ones blows anyone away. This mint green dress is too sweet. Daisy is the sweetest little girl, lucky you. Thanks for all you do.!
thanks so much! the older kiddos do their nap time/quite time at the same time, and Daisy generally takes a long nap during that time too... so I did the embroidery work while she napped on me. Took about two weeks worth of naps (turtle wins the race, ha!), and then I machine sewed the gown together while babywearing Daisy... that part went fairly quickly, even with a newborn/kiddos. thanks again!
Thank you for such a beautiful tutorial! The fact that you have minimal free time, but still produce videos , is not lost on me. A million thank yous and we fans appreciate you.
That collar is beautiful!! Good job! Could I make a suggestion for trimming the excess fabric from the scallops? Before you trim, starch the area to be trimmed and allow to dry. This will make the fabric crisp and result in a clean cut.
You newest addition to your family is so precious, and you'll have so much fun embroidering daisies for Daisy. I wanted to name my daughter (who is now 32 with a daughter of her own) Lily Rose with that in mind, but was voted down.
I looove that name too! Seriously, it was on our short list, but my husband had a dear neighbor who turned into a grandmother figure named Daisy, so we went that route to honor her. and thank you!
yes! go for it! and you can sub any of the stitches I've chosen for others (ie satin stitch for the cutwork). and congratulations on those grandbabies.
