This is the twenty fourth installment of my build of the CV-6. In this video I am creating the sea/water base for the ship. The base is made of 50mm Styrofoam and water products from Vallejo (like Still Water and Water Texture).
The build is based on the Trumpeter 03712 kit with detail up sets from Pontos and KA-models; trying to use the best of both sets.

Turned out very good. Still water and paper good idea, I have used water down white glue and paper. And you are a artist.

Turned out great, Kenneth!!! I like that you got the wake or the right spot. The water flows off Enterprise’s hull a little differently for some reason.

Thanks Ben! I studied historical photos to place the wakes. All ships are different so one should always check with reference material for sure.

The still water + paper mix is a great tip! Overall very nice step by step explanation. Have you tried gloss acrylic medium or liquid glass instead of still water for the final coat? Looking forward to the finished model.

Thanks! No I haven't because I have been so happy with the Vallejo products that I know match together.
