There's a good deal of player agency in the equipment-selection process, which affects not only the character's survivability but also his economic goals.
I like how quick this game is and I could see an interesting "series" telling the story of someone as they're working to make the money to leave the landlord and such. Fun stuff!
Yeah, given how everything is purely mechanical, its surprising that a story seems to form. I think it's all in that simple setup, like you say. There's something relatable about an indentured worker risking their life for gigs...
Just watched Part 1 and 2 and have orderd the game. Just one error spotted (I think) you shouldn't roll for the loot/ greater threat etc. before starting The Gig (unless you pay for the increased Security Intel) - Otherwise what is the point of the Increased Security Intel??
