I remembered the joke Yahtzee had about queefing and thought that it was very hilarious, so eventually, when I wanted to find this video again, I googled "zero punctuation queefing" and got the wiki article, which I used to get to the site. I told my brother this, and he said that I could have gotten other stuff, and was like "don't do that in the future".

It took a few weeks but I've finally watched all 400 vids.......time well spent and booze well used!

Yahtzee making Anime-references? What has the earth come to?

You know, when Yatzee talks about a game I've never played before, his commentary is amusing. When he talks about a game I've played and genuinely liked, it makes me stop and think. Looking back at Invisible Inc, I completely agree with Yatzee - the fact that the only (metaphorical) voices that we get are those of Central and Monst3r really make the story lack. For all the playable characters' backstory, they don't get much development. Shalem 11 is a good example - his backstory says he is using Invisible for 'personal motives', but this idea is never explored. Is he hunting somebody? Maybe he wants to find a long lost friend or a spouse. Though I liked Invisible Inc, it's good to observe that it has flaws and they can be improved on.

To be fair, the defining traits of the Cyberpunk genre are the aesthetics, and, to quote someone I can't remember, "Transhumanism is about how technology will fix all the problems that, up until then, have been endemic to human nature. Cyberpunk is about how it WON'T."

There actually is a bit of dialogue from each character in Invisible inc that shows off their personality. It's a bit (just text) right at the start of each level, and you have the option to have last words before you die (also just text). Unfortunately, I'm not a socialist, so most of them just piss me off.

Having just started Dex, I will say it is a big pain in the ass for the combat and is stingy as balls on checkpoints. However it reminds me heavily of the old Sega game Flashback so I’m willing to cut it some slack for $20. Also I just discovered how to use AR mode to hack the cameras and turrets, so that may take a bit of the sting out.

Speaking of trilbys, I'd love to hear a review of the Trilby's Series. :)

End of Evangelion isn't a bad analogy for the gaming industry. The AAA developers will reach a point of maximum profit where they will all be making bland uninspired games so dull that they're indistinguishable, but sooner or later the people working at these studios will realize the importance of individuality and creativity; splitting off into smaller studios and being reborn as bastions of hope. All's right with the world.
