Engaging video! Love this as it helps me really think about how much I know about Cybersecurity. Especially enjoyed the explanation for the answers and how to eliminate choices - So helpful for tests!

I really enjoy your videos and your way of teaching. Actually... I am preparing a course about Security, Legal an Ethic implicatios of the use of AI and I am afraid that I am going to use your style to such an extent that I kind of feel guilty about it. I hope that admiting it in public in advance through this comment will easy my impostor syndrom. Thanks in advance!!!
Sure, it could be part of DiD specifically if it were used in *combination* with other defenses (that’s the “in depth” part), but the same could be said of any defense mechanism in that regards. It’s LP because you are trying to eliminate anything that is not absolutely necessary, which includes extra accounts, services, etc.. Imagine if you were to board up the windows on a house in order to prevent someone from breaking in. You’ve “hardened” your defense posture by essentially turning the window into a wall (as if you were removing the window)
ChatGPT put it this way, “Yes, hardening in cybersecurity is closely related to the principle of least privilege. Hardening involves reducing the potential attack surface of a system by removing unnecessary features and limiting access to only those resources and permissions required for legitimate purposes, which aligns with the principle of least privilege.”
