I agree with you 100%. I own a CZ 75SP01, I shoot it in IDPA and other matches and they run fantastic. Handel any type of ammo, without issue. Worth every penny. Love the gun.
These are the best bang for the buck for steel framed CZs. Be sure to get the Safety model not the decocker if you want to improve the trigger. I bought and sold a S2 to build up my SP-01 full cajun (Open 9mm racegun with BIG frame mounted dot). A couple of upgrade hints - the 85 trigger trigger has a much better feel than the stock recurve trigger if you want to stay with DA/SA. IF you get a safety version you can convert to SAO pretty easily and with a CGW hammer and adj. sear (for only $150) and bam you have a CZ that functions like a 1911 but feels WAY better and the trigger will be on par to the S2O which is a $1500 gun. I do actually like the rubber grips too, but the LOK grips are another nice upgrade. I LOVE this gun! For steel framed hammer fired home upgrades there is no better choice IMO (better than sigs too)...
Nice review. Also, I really like my SP-01 in O.D. green. This CZ is a boss pistol and it is very easy to shoot well. Your comments are spot-on as far as I'm concerned. I put a $50 CGW Ultra-Lite kit in mine and the trigger is even better now. Have you thought of taking this route?
CZ fanboy here. I carry a CZ-P07 with the omega trigger. Love this gun. I prefer DA/SA handguns to striker fired. I like the heavy first pull for safety concerns. The P01 is awesome! Keep up the great reviews Country Boy.
@@countryboyreviews I owned a Canik TP9SF Elite and loved that gun to because of the awesome trigger, but I wanted a DA/SA so I traded it in on the P07.
@@jameshall3339 Oh I know they are I own 4!!! If you go look at the review I did on the SF elite I was blown away... And that's alot to say since I own the PPQ , HK VP9 , and CZ P10C... in my opinion the SF and SC Elites have the best trigger period on striker fired guns!
I am picking mine up next week. I found one in FDE. Simply a beautiful gun in my honest opinion. It is a CZ SP-01 tactical with a threaded barrel. Take care everyone, stay safe and stay healthy.
I a CZ SP01 tactical, and I put walnut grips on mine ,I wouldn't change anything on it. It is a tack driver, and it eats anything without any issues at all ,I put about 3000 rounds through it already
@@jabrillvoid2276 Its pretty accurate and it has a good balance. I have already try different ammo and it has only jam once but I was able to fix the issue right away. I also bought the compact version. Other then that I really like both guns. : )
@@countryboyreviews Well, after shooting and testing it with different ammo I really like it! I want to buy another one but they are kind of hard to find now in days. I would definitely trust this gun, its easy to use and the handle feels great. Its a great gun.
Hes said "oooouuuu country boy your ugly" 🤣🤣🤣 never heard of this gun. Was training a driver yesterday. And he mention he owns this gun. Looks like I'm gone have to buy me one of this bad boys. Thanks for the reviews 💯💯💯
I have a CZ 97B I picked up last year, and I just got my 75 SP01 (with fiber optic front sights) last month. Haven't actually shot it yet as I'm waiting to break it in with my friend, but I'm definitely looking forward to it.
It’s came down to either a Beretta 92 or the CZ75 for my next gun. After hearing about the ergonomics and the accuracy of the CZ I’ve came to a decision. But I won’t be forgetting about the Beretta. Still a great gun.
Funny story. My Wife has an CZ 85 B. On this particular day at the outdoor range I had my Sig P226 Legion. I was showing her some techniques that she was not wrapping her head around. I was testing out her gun and I wasn't even trying....Bullseye! "WTF"? I thought to myself "Did I just do that"? So I did it a couple of more time and I was dumb founded. I can do the same thing with my Sig but with the CZ I did it in half the speed and more accurate. After that I was like this is sooo happening. I just picked up one today and I am a pig in fresh mud!
I have several 1911s including a Nighthawk and STI and I have to tell you I really love my CZ ‘s. They are simply amazing firearms I have an extremely reasonable price. Truthfully they’re amazing firearms in any price.
@@GattoriSancho I have been asked this before. Tough call. My Shadow 2 is tricked out. My 1911/2011s are pretty much stock. They are “perfect” out of the box. But they are temperamental. My CZ is a great range gun which i shoot really well and is in my bedside safe. I think DA/SA is perfect for home defense. I’m not worried if it’s going to go bang.
My favorite pistol! As I get older, I do find manipulating slides on CZs is something I think about ... but it would NEVER consider not shooting or carrying one because of the lack of surface to grab.
@ SE Smith I'm pretty sure cz shop has a rear sight with a pretty large charging handle on the left side of the fire arm. I was thinking about running but, the one problem I see is it basically renders it unable to be holstered in most holsters but if you don't carry this chunk of metal its a solution for ya bud...
I converted my CZ 75 SP-01 (manuel saftey) to single action with lightened trigger etc. using parts bought thru Cajun Gunworks. It operates like a 1911 series 70 only better!
Just picked one up 3 weeks ago, like everything about it. My Walther PPQM2 has a better trigger, but it’s a polymer framed gun and is hard for me to get that follow up shot. The CZ...just stays on target. Kudos to CZ for supplying 3, that’s three 18 round mags. I made a sweet OWB holster for it and it’s now my EDC pistol. Next I will design and build a double mag carrier and I’m good to go. Personally, I like the weight...it’s what a real gun is supposed to feel like. Just my $.02. BTW, it was the only one like it at a huge gun show and it set me back $900.00. Damn this is an expensive hobby.
I own an SP01 safety version. It is by far the most comfortable and accurate auto 9 I have ever shot✌👍. And I love the stock grips. G10 grips will not be an improvement on the perfect ergonomics of the original grips! Guns are not for "looks" they are for function. 🤣🤣🤣
I bought a CZ 75 SP01 about 3 months ago. The only disappointment is, you cannot get them with the stock Night Sights anymore. The front sight is a Fiber Optic and the rear are very small luminescent sites. Yet, CZ still charges $899 for the gun. They should have lowered the price. Other than that, it's a great gun.
Check out MCARBO I put three of them in three different CZ’s that I have. The price is just right and they reduce the trigger pull and it feels so much smoother.
I bought a P10F last year, and earlier today I bought an SP-01 Competition with the blue grips, and in a few months I'll probably end up getting a Shadow 2. The struggle is real lol, I feel like a heroin addict who just started but knows he's going down a bad road that can't be turned off of🤣.
Don’t be discouraged. Keep shopping around. I was told the wait time was undetermined at the time of purchase (last month). In my mind I was thinking early next year. To my surprise I got a call last week saying it’ll be in & come in to start the background check Tuesday (tomorrow😁). She’ll be in my possession as soon and I can’t wait.
It depends Emmett G , there are alot of different options for them and prices differ on availability and location. I think around $550 to $650 is in the ballpark for the regular model , now the Shadow series is quite a bit more . Thanks for watching!
