Honestly, for upgrades I would MUCH prefer grabbing a manual safety CZ-75 over a decocker model because manual safety versions have a far less intimidating and far less complicated sear cage. With this tear down video, y’all make disassembly a breeze! I can’t thank you enough!
For anyone about to attempt this: make sure you push on the correct side of the ejector. Do not push the firing pin block lever out in this process. It will cost you hours to fit the firing pin block lever spring. Just like me. It took me 4 hours to get the firing pin block lever under tension with the sear spring fitting properly. Don’t underestimate how good this guy is, pay attention to every detail
Since the trigger on my 75B was pinching my finger, I got a new trigger: the "Old Style 85c" from CGW. Since I was replacing the trigger, I figured I'd replace the springs too. This video was fantastic for showing me exactly how to do it! Now, after a few mishaps due to my fumblefingers, the job's done; and WOW! What a fantastic difference! Should have done this years ago!

Just finished my upgrades on my CZ 75B with this trigger kit, floating trigger pin along with a new stainless steel guide rod and the spring that comes with it. Won't lie.. the firing pin retaining pin was just extremely difficult to hammer out! Took days! Finished all upgrades with just one broken punch. Now my gun shoots like a dream!
Without a doubt the best $20-30$ you could ever spend if you own a cz!! And a fantastic install video everything you need to know clearly explained and shown in a great install video. Im sold on the whole mcarbo brotherhood!! Keep up the good work man!👍👍👊
I just finished installing this kit on my CZ 75B. The toughest part for me was the trigger return spring. The slave pin included in the kit was a bit on the short side. I ended up losing it and had to remake one out of a cut down Allen wrench that was the same diameter as the trigger pin and it had a length the same as the width of the trigger. The pin that attaches the trigger to the trigger bar fell out and after many "F" bombs and a bit of struggling I managed to get it back together. Everything else was pretty smooth except removing the plug that holds the hammer spring in. The retaining pin came out easy. The plug was frozen in place. Used some CLP for penetrating oil on it and a few more "F" bombs, but I got it out and it went back together fine. What a night and day difference this kit made for my CZ! The trigger was absolutely hideous before! Heavy! Jumpy! Gritty! Nasty! It was so bad I really didn't want to shoot it. Now the double action is like a really nice revolver! Super smooth! Not heavy at all. Maybe around 6 lbs. The single action is great too! Around 3 lbs with a nice break. I want to get out to the range and put some rounds through this gun now! If you own a CZ get this kit. You will be glad you did. Best $25 I ever spent.
I am currently in the process of installing this kit and also had a crazy time installing that trigger return spring. I spent two evenings toiling over it and often searching the carpet with a flashlight trying to find the trigger return spring and that little tool that seemed too short and thin to work. I was about to give up and call a gunsmith to see if he or she could finish the job and thought about trying your Allen wrench trimming to make one, but I think I stumbled on an even easier and more affordable way to do it--a toothpick. A toothpick fits into that hole like a glove. I just slipped a toothpick into the hole to secure the trigger return spring and snipped the sides off with scissors. It still left a tiny nub of wood sticking out of the sides, but still allowed me easily to push the assembly down into place and easily hammer the trigger pin into place. I really wish I would have thought of a toothpick two days ago. It would have saved me a lot of headaches and anxiety. Heh.
I found your products by mistake. I was watching other firearm videos when I found MCARBO. I'm truly impressed with how detailed your explanations are as well as the video quality. I was so impressed that I've purchased some CZ, Ruger Mini -14 and Smith and Wesson revolver parts. I've only had time to install the revolver parts, thus far, and I'm waiting for the CZ parts to arrive. I own a CZ SP01 Tactical. CZ 75D PCR compact, CZ 85, CZ 75B Omega and a CZ 75D. Looks like I'll be going broke buying MCARBO parts to upgrade all my CZ's. I own 6 different Glock's also and I've made trigger mods to all of them. I'm not going to check out your Glock parts as I may end up losing my home to foreclosure:) Good stuff you have and keep up the good work with your videos... love them.

Excellent video and product. If you need to make an extra trigger pin tool, toothpick cut to fit works perfect. I messed up the one included in the kit
Literally... I just installed the trigger kit... but just a heads up... when I went to change out the "Hammer Spring"... the main spring plug would NOT come out. So I used a heat gun and SLOWLY heat up the metal around the plug. It worked. I didn't want to sand the plug because that would obviously ruin the finish.... so I put the plug in the freezer to let it get cold then heat up the metal again and then the put the plug in again. Worked like a charm. Can't wait to test the new Trigger Job out now!
Ok, 30min install for him, 3h install for me, though my CZ75B is a early model, back when Men were Men and the Eastern Block was Red... Everthing in the video is correct for even the early 75B'a, just things were MUCH tighter and work in a clean room as when the Trigger Spring goes -SPROING, you will need to try to find it. The Hammer Spring Plug was SUPER tight and my magazine spring had a loop that was captured with the pin inside the plug. All in all frustrating to get it all back together, it did give me a chance to deep clean the frame in the Ultrasonic Bath and now it looks and feels new. Have not been to the range yet, but just dry firing feels very smooth and light now! The kit was ridiculously cheap, I added the floating trigger pin at the same time. $38.85 and a few knotches of my sanity is worth the lighter and now cleaner firearm! Thanks Brotherhood!

ONLY REPLACED THE TRIGGER SPRING. First things first. This is a very, very helpful video and without it I would NOT have been able to replace the broken trigger spring on my CZ 75. (You know it's broken when the trigger does not return to the usual posn, but has to be assisted by pressing the trigger forward ; gun will still fire but not semi-auto). Just a brilliant video, especially when qualified gunsmiths are rare, as they are here in Ireland, and d.i.y. is the 1st option. Some clarifications. Start to finish, it took me about 2 hours. Boss Redd is correct. It requires patience, and some out of the box thinking. The suggested punch (3/32") is too big; I jammed mine, eventually got it out and bought a 2mm one instead. Worked a dream, no jamming AT ALL. (3/32" is 2.45mm and that half mil was the problem; US models may be different to Czech ones.) I was unable to insert the spring by hand despite valiant efforts, and boy, does it spring; hoped out twice !! Again Boss is bang on. I wedged a hammer handle against the trigger to keep the assembly rigid and proud of the housing. Also I used a long nosed pliers to insert the spring and this takes patience and a firm hand. And you do have to take your time, even when I eventually got the spring in place. The video is excellent as regards which way to insert spring !! Full marks. Replacing the trigger pin is also complex and jiggling the trigger itself is a delicate matter. (My Czech supplied kit didn't incl the plastic widget so I improvised with a bit of a paper clip !! Did the job. Full marks and thanks again. I smile to think how much €€€ I've saved and zero weeks without my gun. PS On my model, the trig pin extracted to the LEFT but again the vid shows the slightly enlarged finish on one side.
Trigger Pin SP01 Issue Solved. On 11:09 mark, use 3/32 only to start push out, after, use next smaller size punch to drive pin out. I did bend 2 punches and finally realized that trigger roll pin hole gets smaller about 1/4 inch in. BTW, Great kit #MCABRO. And great support.
Nice kit, great video instructions for CZ75. I have a CZ75 SP01 and specifics were just a bit different but otherwise good. One nitpick I had was the trigger spring installation "tool" (actually just a short piece of plastic wire to hold the spring in place while the trigger is aligned with the trigger pin holes.) I saw in the video that the tool got cockeyed when demo guy attempted to insert the trigger pin. The demo guy is much more adept than I and he managed to get it back in place and proceed. I managed to break the plastic piece. After a bit of a struggle removing it, I went and got some steel hardware wire (about 14 gauge) and cut a piece to make my own alignment tool. The steel "tool" worked much better and I'd recommend changing the kit. I also stoned and polished all the sliding surfaces between the trigger and the sear when I had the gun apart. I finished up and the gun works great. Didn't measure pull, but to my fingers, it now operates with a feel similar to my Sig P226 that I sent in to the factory to have the trigger reworked (at about 4 times the cost for this kit). So good job MCARBO,. I also installed a MCARBO trigger kit on an old Marlin 60 some years ago, turning my boyhood gun from a fun plinker to a fun sniper gun that can shoot the eye out of a squirrel at 25 yards.
Great video, thanks for the very detailed instructions. For the ambi safety, pull the long leg of sear spring and then pull right hand safety, then continue as your video. During reassembly, will have to pull back on the detents on both sides for the teeth on safety to go in.
All MCARBO videos are superb. Very helpful, though there is an easier way to install the trigger spring if you check out Average Doomsday Prepper Dude’s video on the CZ 75 reduced reach kit install. Still, this one was awesome. I did add one twist...before installing the trigger spring, I threaded a long piece of thin but strong twine through its center spring coil and made a necklace out of it. That way, when the inevitable spring pop happened, it didn’t fly across the room and get lost...it wound up on a twine necklace around my neck. When I got the spring installed and the floating trigger pin captured/engaged, i simply snipped the twine, pulled it out and voila. Oh, one nitpick...most CZ pin removal is from right to left.
Quick update for this. The CZ-75B stainless has an ambi safety with no pin hole through. To get it off you pop the seat spring out of the Grove and gently take a scew driver to pry up the right side safety. Easier than I thought to do.
This is a great upgrade, my trigger feels so much better in both actions, single is like an old S&W revolver. the trigger return spring was the trickiest part but I got her. Great video and great products, I also got the floating trigger pin, I would recommend this too, it will make things easier going back together.
Just received my trigger spring kit! So far happy 😊 with it! Fills soft and smooth! Thank you. Will go to the range soon to check how it shoots with live rounds!
Most of the trouble is at 12:20 took me a solid 30 minutes to figure out why I couldn't pull the trigger and the linkage up fully because there is a video cut that doesn't show the handgun with the hammer down. The hammer has to be down fully, mine was half cock, for anyone having a hard time with this part.
Just bought the new SS recoil spring/rod for my SP-01 from you guys.... now it looks like I will be ordering the trigger kit too. Really impressed with the results!!

I literally just did the same thing with my SP-01. Started with just the SS rod and spring. Just got the trigger upgrade but I’m not gonna lie it looks tough to do.
Great video. I just did a trigger job on my optic ready Shadow 2, which like the 75 had a 10+ lb trigger out of the box. Too much! I got the D/A down to around 5lbs D/A and 2.5lbs S/A. Also polished all the internal trigger components and the trigger is smooth as silk now, amazing what a difference a few springs and some polishing will do.
Hey ya'll! I got my first spring kit today, intending it for a 97B. Well, that was not as easy as you make it look, but I got it installed and it is better, definitely. I'll need to test this out, but I have high hopes. Thanks for the tutorial!
I have considered competing in the local shooting competitions so I purchased this for my SP-01, replaced the hammer spring first and immediately noticed an upgraded difference.This encouraged me to continue upgrading, but sadly that is about as far as I got, because my trigger spring is now stuck halfway through the firearm, I believe this is because I tried to hammer it back through the gun and ended up mushing up one end causing it to become wider. I have no doubt that this product is great, but I'm afraid I may have overestimated my gun-smithing skills, learn from my mistake. Make sure you're not hitting the trigger spring against the wall when trying to re-insert it back through. I will see if the gentlemen down at the local gun shop can help me out since I've also managed to disconnect my trigger in the process.
If any of you also struggle with installing the trigger return spring like I did (the little tool may be too thin and short to work), after two evenings attempting and failing, I discovered one of the best ways to do it--a toothpick. A toothpick fits in the holes like a glove. Just slip a toothpick into the holes to secure the trigger return spring then snip off the sides of the toothpick with scissors or wire cutters. Even if the snipped toothpick nubs stick out the sides an extra millimeter, you can still push the assembly down in place easily. It will just flatten the toothpick nubs and hold the trigger return spring snuggly. Putting the trigger pin in from there was quite easy and the piece of toothpick slipped out easily in the process.
Use 3mm roll pin punch for the firing pin retaining pin, use a starter punch to push the trigger pin in one punch, and then go to a Chinese restaurant and get a to go box and make sure you ask for a few wooden chopsticks, and the pointier side will be used to push the floating trigger pin in without any scratch lol! Watch how to take out the sear cage from CGW, and they have some better ways. When you punch the new pin back in to the slide, be more careful. Have fun guys!
Just installed the kit today and my trigger pull went from an average of 9lbs 9.6oz to 5lbs 4.4oz double action and 4lbs 5.6oz to 2lbs 4.1oz single action. Can’t wait to take it out for a spin at the range.
Used your guide to swap my CZ75B, went great. SP-01, did not like the pin coming out. I think maybe I didnt give it the solid hits it deserved and my softer hits may have caused the right side of the stock pin to flare out, but was able to drive it in a bit and take it home with the replacement pin from MCARBO. CZ75B has more side to side play in the pin than the SP-01. Thanks for the help!
I've installed the MCARBO spring kits in four of my CZ 75's. Tomorrow I'll be picking-up my SP 01 and installing the spring kit. I've noticed the last two kits I bought have metal slave pins instead of the plastic pins. Nice touch! Looking forward to a kit for my CZ 97B and my Beretta M-9.
For the money M Carbo will do anything you needed to do it's just as good as Cajun but half the price I have use them both they soften everything up real nice of course they're not going to feel like a TSO unless you start polishing or stoning but they do help
Had my gunsmith install this kit on my 75 compact. It dropped the SA pull from 5 1/4 lbs down to 3 3/4 lbs. The DA went from 10 1/2 lbs. down to 8.5 lbs. My only negative is the trigger return is weak and easy to short stroke.
Thank you much for this vid! Went with CGW SPGK 1 kit. Did the install, but scratched my slide putting the firing retaining pin back 😢. But it's not going to bother me too much cause there's always the option to cerakote in the future. As far as the kit, big difference in the DA, SA. It took away the most new gun grittyness and I only have less than 500 rounds through it.
@@MCARBO I have the old steel frame IMI Jericho. The only springs I could use was trigger return, hammer main spring and sear spring. Couldn't use the firing pin spring or the safety block spring. But I'm happy with what I have. Thanks!
Only bone i have to pick is you only sent one trigger return spring alignment tool and it broke first try getting the trigger pin in so had to get creative highly recommend you add one or two more of the alignment tools in the kit
well. it worked good in my rami until I put the cajun gun works stuff in. then i couldnt get it to run. but i put the stock disconnector spring back in and im in business. good stuff.
Great vid on CZ 75 tear down if I could add one tid bit it is good idea to do it all above one of those magnetic parts trays that way hopefully nothing gets into your shag carpet or wherever little gun parts vanish too
The CZ 75 P01 is alloy framed and also NATO Approved! Check into what it takes to get NATO approved!! Most reliable gun on the market!! I have two of them and carry one every day. Best ergonomics of any pistol!! End of story!! Very little recoil due to slide inside the frame. Sweetest shooting handgun I have ever shot!! Right out of the box they are awesome!!
On the sear pack spring, it was very difficult to catch the rear (short leg) under tension, and keep it in position. Tried multiple times, it kept falling under the ledge, and finally I lost it as it popped into space.
Don’t dry fire/drop the hammer on the inner workings if you don’t have the slide/firing pin onboard to mitigate the strike. You can do some seriousdamage in the area of the seer.
im doing it but very difficult im just afraid to lose a spring as i almost did and found it by luck i completed the slide which was a pain my trigger pin came staked smh i doing each oart one day at a time so i wont get discouraged so may take a week to complete but im making progress the sear cage is gonna be a nightmare....
Makes me want to trim and tweak some springs slightly to get a similar result , especially the pin block and trigger and main springs and maybe polish the hammer and sear interface areas...
We're making a Stainless Steel Guide Rod now! Should be ready soon and then it's "Not a lick of plastic but the grips"...Haha. Thank you for catching that.
MCARBO I’m interested in one! Bought a used 75b and just last night I tore it down and gave it some good lovin. It was so easy. So what I used to put the trigger spring back in was the tiny pin that retains the hammer pin. Worked perfect. Thanks for the video.
Put theslide on the reciver with the hamnmner down to install the firing pin retaining pin. The hammer will hold in gthe firing pin and you won’t need four hands to install the retainbingpin.
Yeah, you achieved a light trigger pull but will the gun reliably set-off the primers in factory ammo? That's the true test. When I squeeze the trigger, I want to hear "bang".... not "click". Your video was well done compared to others.
Website said this kit also worked for the P-09. It might, but the tutorial doesn't. Top end went fine, trigger spring went OK, but the 09 sear spring is hidden.
As far as the stainless steel guide rod goes..doesn't it create a metal slamming/grinding into metal situation where the end button nestles into the slide dimple? Seems like a cushion of sorts would be of benefit here..? Perhaps it's just not that critical to worry about? I can see added weight on the nose re: muzzle rise and better control but it seems more about looks than function to me? By the by, I just installed a MCARBO kit in my new CZ 75 PO1 including the rc50 floating trigger pin and spring..I don't have a trigger pull gauge so I pulled one out of my hat and made one with a gallon jug, and a piece of welding rod..and my kitchen scale a few weights and water...it's a bit complicated to explain but the bottom line is it works..after all is weighed up you have a final lbs and ounce break over point..I unfortunately don't know what the out of the box pull weights were both double and single action but I can say the average I got was 8.1 double action pull and 3.2 lb. trigger pull...I can honestly say it improved immensely over bone stock...keep in mind I have only run 10 rounds through it before I decided to install the CZ 75 kit..I polished a few area's internally that would benefit but only using a dremmel buffing wheel loaded up with 1500 grit aluminum oxide..so a very minimal amount of metal was removed..all in all it was a great experience.. I'm slow and methodical and I spent a good eight hours with it but that included losing that little firing pin block lever spring...let me tell you...don't do that! I was fortunate enough to find it, boy howdy! So in essence it was a great experience and if you like to tinker with things, this is a pretty easy program to get behind...excellent tutorial video by the way...it was a wealth of information and it let you know what to expect around every corner..

Just did this on my CZ 75 SP-01. Not as easy as it is portrayed in the video. Also, I am pretty sure the trigger pin is smaller than 3/32 (not by much but it seems to be a little smaller). This was a pain in the ass, but the trigger pull is much nicer. NOTE: on the SP-01 at least there is a tiny little part opposite the internal safety detente that is not held in by anything. BE CAREFUL YOU DON'T LOOSE IT! (Right side of gun as you hold it, inside between the seer group and the wall of the lower receiver, right in front of the hammer).
