Actually Face Blindness is a real thing: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prosopagnosia Affects and estimated 2.5% of the Human population. Granted, it working to confuse a 3 armed dwarf with a Drow is unlikely. Non-face telltales like clothing and bodyshape is usually the things people with Faceblindness detect people they know.

@@Mikemk_ That's basically what invisibility is. Technically if you were truly invisible, you'd also be blind. 100% chamelon means you do it so well you leave 0% visible trace behind.

just this. I play a level ten rogue, and I decided to hide from some guards, with the help of pass without trace and a cloak of the bat. My DM rolled his eyes because I was standing in the middle of the road, speaking to them, and then I rolled a 39. He just kind of left, then told me once he got over it that I blinked out of existence. Funniest D&D moment I've ever had.

I once made a Khajit thief in Skyrim. He was so good that he could enter and exit every city by waltzing right past the guards without being seen, appear directly within the Thieves Guilds lair without being detected along the way and managed to steal an entire drugs trade in Riften, pulled off a reverse heist in a Dwemer dungeon and stole the Elder Scroll via a dungeon bypass through Blackreach, without any storyline missions being completed. And then he gained invisibility and stole the Skeleton Key. After that, nothing could stop him.
