Sorry, I was commenting while watching, just reached the part where you discussed your ITB. Thanks for sharing the specifications of your ITB, much appreciated!! 🍻
One of the reasons I shared it specifically for you is cuz initially I just wanted “longest” with enough space to breath from firewall Which ended up being close or same to the skunk2 runner length Which then to my susprise numbers fell inside Bell’s and Jenvey’s window! So that got me stoked lol!
@@SRDmotorsports Excited to see the results of the build! But no rush, it's a lot of effort to build the engine but also takes a lot of time to edit the videos. Curious if the current exhaust set up can support the new induction side of the engine once it's done
On the exhaust side of things Is a borderline safe or uncertain but more safe Right now my header is a 4-2-1 but sequentially paired like Hytech not the SMSP style tri Y But I’m hoping I can quickly brush up my welding skills (already have a Tig) cuz Most likely this set up might shine even more with a decent 4-1 with good merge
@@SRDmotorsports Since you mentioned it, cylinder pairing for the header is quite interesting, John, Dave and Joe have different opinions on what works but they all made good power with their designs. Rushi's design was textbook but surprisingly effective. Literally textbook, because years later, I found that the dimensions work out to be what Graham Bell suggested.
True on exh pairing etc etc However I’ve slapped on an smsp pairing on mine and it was drastically “numbed” I thought I could tune it but bfor retuning we managed to repair the crack on this header and bolt it back up and Boom! It livened up like before So I was like wth? That much diff in feel? Ofcourse no dyno but it’s why I kinda stuck with this one and suddenly Endyn’s words on his preference for hytech came up lol
I have the exact same throttle body and intake manifold. So hopefully your venturi spacer will make good power and if it does I'll buy one for my setup. Maybe it'll compliment my delta 272 cam real good!
That’s def worth a try if u got the same intake and throttle Only prob is it’s costly to get the 1in thick aluminum plate here but I feel u can def source it out there… where ya from btw?
@@SRDmotorsports & @1blackman I'm in Canada and I picked this up to fit a stock throttle to a pro series. It's definitely under an inch thick. but if you really wanted to, you could stack 2 of em www.ebay.ca/itm/174948644161?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=4-6zdtdgtre&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=0ja4EEY3TGu&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Ideas are great , even more when you capture that thought and make it from thought to reality, however thoughts are not facts without a flowbench to give back flow numbers then there's no way to verify what direction your Idea is going regarding to increase air cfm =more horsepower same with cylinder head ports looks and facts aren't the same, and if there is a improvement you'll know if there's anything further needed done to perfect your idea imagined, scientific results doesn't take sides or have any opinion it only tells facts , only way to know if that idea is helping towards that power goal or hurting you from reaching it, your videos are much appreciated especially since your willingness to make power with all honda motors and not just whatever is there latest technology motor is like most honda enthusiasts do, let honda do all the work then throw intake on and claim there fast 😮smh 😂 keep it going my man .
Modern (current injectors) already atomize real good so oem location is fine , but for older 80-90s style injector a little farther out kind of helps As well as fuel pressures
@@SRDmotorsports great stuff found ur channel by just looking at some zc motors, you are reviving the d series culture, and being drive and rebuild my own d series motors for about 5 years I must tell they are greatest platform for starters
Yeah that would be interesting and also to share insights as I notice a lot of misconceptions too Example ITB gives better throttle response and excellent midrange Intake manifold can give better peak and top end I’d bet u a lot think ITB will give excellent top end like all other “upgrades”
Interesting il check it in a bit… But extra interesting cuz I’ve always read a lot about Formula SAE and mainly how they worked on maxxing out the displacement they had and the induction of each team is ALWAYS an interesting part! with complete analysis too!
@@SRDmotorsports What's also interesting is that some of them even employ the use of restrictor plates, so imagine if there were no rules, they could actually make better power
Yes! Actually it might even get borderline dangerous but very interesting Kinda the same why I paid interest on Formula 3 22mm restrictor induction too! Toda and mugen still ran 2liter and still exceeded 220hp
Was trying to share what I intended but forgot to mention it’s if the engine can demand it But then I hinted along the way that it has high comp and good cam so that covers it 😎
