I used the following colors: Self mixed Navy, Peacock Teal, Festive Green, Sour Apple, Titanium White, Desert Turquoise, Sweet Mint, Cadmium Yellow, Orange Flame, True Red, Ultra Blue deep, Bright Blue, Purple Rain, Extreme Sheen Copper, and Dazzling Metallics Rich Espresso. I mix all of my paints with a 1:1 ratio of paint to Owatrol. I did not add any water. I add a drop of silicone (treadmill lubricant) to each ounce of paint mixture, excluding white. I always seal my art after it has dried a minimum of 72 hours with multiple coats of High Gloss Varnish using a sponge brush. *Tip* I store my sponge brush in a sealed Ziploc between coats and do not rinse it so it does not deteriorate the sponge. This will store safely for at least a week.

I am so sorry for your loss... Truly. My heart hurts for you. I have had no contact with him now for 15 months. I know he is alive and safe. But the relationship is just way too toxic. He needs a good counselor. His issues go beyond the drugs. But after 3 rehabs and years and years of lies, deceit and financial hardship to me, I had to cut ties. I continue to pray for his healing and that he will do what he needs to do to become the man he has the potential to be. Thank you for sharing with me. Big hugs!

Sandra Lett Thanks for your heartfelt reply. Your son sounds like my daughter, the chemicals destroyed her mentally - severe panic attacks and depression. The alcohol was a desperate attempt to ease the crippling panic attacks. I imagine suicide was her final attempt to be free. Prayers for you, your son, and all the victims of drug abuse. Thank you so much... Yes, I think we will always need prayers. He is 3 years clean, and I had to totally disengage from him during that time. It is a slow slow process, but we have made a bit of headway. He met a wonderful girl that he plans on marrying and I pray that he will stay on the path of sobriety. Thank you again

Praying. Same problem.It was my daugthed. Fifteenth to thirty five. Six grandkids. Just had to wAlk away and give her completely to God. She was saved at her last rehab. There is hope and God grace. Stay firm and keep praying. Love to you and yours.

I did this well over a year and a half ago. I pray every day for him. But totally cut him off 14 months ago. I had to do it to save my sanity and in order to let God step in and do His work in my son. I know he is alive and I just have to trust that God will restore him. Thank you for your kind words. It’s difficult to step back, and set boundaries when we see our loved ones taking a destructive path. Sandra this is one of the most difficult journeys to take as a mother and you will always love his essentially pure being in spite of what his outward character has slid into...this is so heart wrenching, but i commend your taking care of yourself as well as your many attempts to take care of him. Dear Sandra, thank you for sharing what your prayer needs are... I struggle with addiction also. I'm going to meetings and making new friends who are clean. I will pray for your son! My oldest son suffers from paranoid schizophrenia and even with medication he is still delusional. It has broken my heart into a million pieces as He has been homeless, incarcerated and mostly in hospitals across the state of Ga... it's easy to hold on and difficult to let go. Knowing that we've done all we can do, leaving it in God's beautiful care, miracles happen. Sometimes, the miracles for me are just having a day of joy. I used opiates to hide from the pain of losing him but, understand so much better now, that I have to face life on life's terms... I could not do this life without a walk with God! We have the privilege of prayer, praise and worship which tears down strongholds! Bless you my friend ❤

Praying for you. My son is 30. I cant imagine. But letting go has got to be harder. I guess at that age theyv chosen their path and you can only do so much. Im learning how to pour and learn alit from your videos. Painting must be your life saver!!! They are so beautiful. Going to try the straw technique next weekend. Sandra. I love this style of painting. I see that more artists are using this controlled abstract technique. Yours are totally awesome. I don't know who started these, but they are lovelyI love every one that I see. Thinking of you and your situation. My dad was a recovering alcoholic. I grew up never knowing this. I saw him on dry drunks often and had no idea of that either. I only learned about this from a relatively new friend who also is a recovering alcoholic. Knowing that now makes me understand his actions so much better. I'm thankful that she came into my life and has taught me so much about addiction !!

Hello Sandra I watched the pour earlier and signed off my phone and went off to my kitchen to start prep work for my supper. As I was there your voice came to me about your son and what you were saying. I made a cup of tea and when I came to sign back into the phone the image of this pour was on my screen as the background. I am a true believer in God and I know in my gut this was no accident. So I went back to find the video again and here is what God placed on my heart to tell you. We will always be parents and they will always be our children to us just like we are His. As they get older we are to be parents on our knees by praying for them. We are not fighting flesh and blood but the devil in disguise. Use Psalms 51, 59, 35, 91 and 144 as prayers for your son. Don't just read them out loud but pray just as David did when he was writing them. This will be the way of letting go. Now you will become the parent on your knees. During which time it will get hard and sometimes you have to look away but never stop praying for him. The prayers of a righteous man availeth much. As a Mom they work even more based on God's word. In the meantime I will pray for your strength too in all of this. God be with you and keep those beautiful paintings going.

To make balloon flowers you dip the end of your balloon in a puddle of paint then place on canvas, press down and twirl in clockwise fashion. The way you were doing it you were just picking the paint up off your canvas. As always your painting turned out fabulous. Thanks for your video.

@@SandraLett lol, what I mean is the puddle of paint you pick up won't be on the canvas but off to the side maybe on your butcher paper or in a tray.. I can't paint like you and this is the only way I can make flowers. I put a cat toy ball (like a ping pong ball) inside the balloon.

Thank you for sharing your struggles with your son. I too have had many and one thing I’ve learned is God has his own timeline to teach? Open someone’s eyes? More time to show them the way. I pray and pray and pray and know good will happen when it is time. I to use crafting skills and good friends to keep me going. I had an angel save me many years ago, I’ll pray for angels to save your son. You are a sweetheart, kind hearted, giving person.

Hi, Sandra! I love your art! I am so sorry that you have been going through so much with your son. I think that every family has at least one member who is a drug addict and letting go is the hardest part.
