I used all DecoArt Americana paints and they are listed at the bottom of the page. The first part of my video cut out where I showed the colors I was using. I mix all of my paints with a 1:1 ratio of paint to Floetrol. I add water only if needed to get it to a consistency of honey pouring in a stream from my craft stick. I add a drop of silicone (treadmill lubricant) or OGX COconut Milk Hair Serum to each ounce of paint mixture, excluding white and black. I always seal my art after it has dried a minimum of 72 hours with multiple coats of High Gloss Varnish using a sponge brush. *Tip* I store my sponge brush in a sealed Ziploc between coats and do not rinse it so it does not deteriorate the sponge. This will store safely for at least a week.

Watching you use the straw it occurred to me if you had about two and a half feet of tubing as in the type of air tubes for fish aquariums, you wouldn't have to bend over your work and you could aim it in any which direction you wanted. Of course you have to watch the middle of your tubes so it wouldn't drag in your art work. But I think it would be very very useful and much more convenient not to mention more versatile with the direction you blow. Additionally you wouldn't be going semi cross-eyed while looking down the point of that straw LOL. I hope you get a tube and it works out great for you! Only just discovered this technique two days ago I haven't painted since my husband passed away and I certainly am inspired by what I see thank you for sharing

Art has been my therapy and at times, some of my happiest moments. It is so therapeutic... you should give it a go... and acrylic pouring is quite addictive! Thanks for watching

It’s not a club I wanted to join but I lost my husband unexpectedly as well a few years ago and I stopped “creating” but watching your videos has inspired me to jump back in and give it a try. I love this painting especially the graceful and natural movement of the leaves - I personally like your flowers when they are about 1/2 done with fewer colors because they have such a simple abstract quality - Less is more - But, that's just me - Beautiful work

It’s really amazing how everything you do keeps the shape. You do not seem to use a lot of paint. It’s like painting with a brush. I have to keep practicing as everything I try loses its shape.

Thicker paints work better. If your paints are thinned out too much. They kind of bleed out and lose their shape

Sandra Lett how do you get thicker paint. At the moment I am doing 50 mls paint to 50 mls pouring medium. So more paint or more medium. Thanks.

I have found the solution to the nozzle opening. Get some straight pins with the round knobs or even tacks with some type of knob and stick in and they are just an easy twist to remove before using as they don't glue tight to the hole. This is a stunning piece.

That's a great idea...! Thank you and I managed to find caps for all of the bottles and just ordered another set of bottle with the screw on lids which the openings are smaller and easier to control!

Sandra, I loved this demonstration and how you conquered the flowers. The flowers are beautiful, and I will try this technique soon. Can you please provide the link to the "Koi Fish" painting? Thank you Tammy... most of my paintings have a video to go with it... I try to name the video to match the name of the painting. The koi fish painting is this (I had done a pour about 6 months before and knew that one day I would always add something on it to enhance it.
