The Breeland improvements are amazing. Not sure if it's the new unit models, empire building depth (journeymen from the builders guild), or the variety of music. I haven't been so immersed in a game since Skyrim. Thank you and the team so much for all the hard work!

In 2019, Skyrim and Medieval 2 are the only games that I mod, (planning to mod Witcher 3 too) and I'm loving Third Age Total War + DaC. Thank you so much for making these mods, wish you all the best

This is the most stable version of the mod I’ve played yet. Amazing job guys! To those having problems with the installation (for whatever reason) I urge you to join the Discord in the description, it’s a bit more user friendly (I’d say) than Total War Center and there’s a channel dedicated to bugs and FAQs.

wanted to report about the bug with Edhellond, its is sort of a failed exploit but still. Playin as Gondor in version 2.1, player could move his general from Tarnost and besiege Edhellond. Trick is, that move blocks auto-conquest of Dol-Amroth and you can repeatedly besiege this town awaitin for backup forces. But in version 2,2 as well as in ver.3 auto-conquest army just instantly starts the battle for Edhellond and what is worse - mod just lags out on loading screen if you try to fight on the battlefield, or if you try to retreat - mod lags out on strategic map. I never tried exploits in this mod so sorry if such stuff is common ere, just wanted to share

Works super well. You guys are amazing plus the details in each units that you've put is simply stunning. You even added units in reference to the previous eras! You are a hell of a modder!

What I would suggest to most people is changing the controls to move the camera from Up/Down etc. to WASD once your in the game. makes it feel a little bit more modern :D

Hey Arachir, I hope you don't mind me asking here but I have noticed something strange: while playing as the dwarves of Erebor I have seen that Rhun is very powerful in numbers even before turn 60 and though I try rushing as fast as I can to their first settlement (Wintirion Iaur), they already have a full stack in it. It looked suspicious so I started again a new game with the fog of war disabled only to see that Rhun starts with one settlement but by turn 2 all the settlements on the southern, eastern and northern coasts of the Sea of Rhun become Rhun's automatically. Is this a script that was implemented and is there a way to remove it or nerf it a little?

Does your mod work correctly on version 1.52 of kingdoms? Are there discrepancies between the names of resources and objects on the global map on version 1.52?

Hello, I have followed all the instructions in the installation but when trying to open the DV3 I get a fault of (0xc0000142) and I no longer start any of the mdv2 giving me the same fault. Could you help me?

Hey guys. So I'm having a problem with the installation. It gives me an error when about 25% of it has finished installing. The error is MoveFile failed;code 3. The system cannot find the path specified. Can someone help me with this? Or is this normal and I have to keep trying?

It Doesn't work when you unpack it it says file directory is corrupted and unreadable I've tried 2 times uninstalling the zip and unpacking and it still doesn't work

So I'm pretty sure I installed large address aware (I installed the mod awhile ago I dont remember too well) but the game is crashing pretty frequently at the end of battles? What is the solution for this? Should I manually install large address aware in case I didn't do it?

I have a problem. I have followed your installation step by step. After install is over when I launch V3 it shows. ERROR: Cannot find MTW2 or kingdoms. First I think I have installed in a wrong folder. Then I have repeat it 5 times same results. Please help really want to play?

Hi, I'm using DAC V3 and either during the turns or after battles occasionally it crashes to desktop with the "Medieval 2: Total War has encountered an unspecified error" message. I did some research but to no avail as most of those are years old and wondering if I could get some help. Replaying battles is slightly annoying. Thanks in advance for anything.

haha i figured it out today about the four files together. Congrats about the V3. I just love the Gundabad and Angmar faction :D

Hey Gal, so I am trying to install V3 for DaC. Following your video I made sure everything is right, I used 7zip to unzip the folder from the download. Went and clicked the application to start the install. I do have Med 2 on a different drive from my C drive, which its my D drive which I make sure that is correct. Along without having the double Third_Age_3 text in it as well. As well that little window will pop up asking it I want to overwrite the original text and such. Install it all the way with no issue. The little window thing pops up next, to select the Med 2 exe application in the steam app files and such. I do that, click the check box and it finishes. Then I go to start the game from the DaC V3 tab I have on my home screen, but it just loads up Med 2? Any thoughts or advice on how I can fix this or what I am doing wrong possibly? My steam apps is in my 86x files and such, and I tried to turn off my virtual store, but it was there in my user settings....

Hi Galu, I've followed the instructions on both your TATW 3.2 installation video and this video. I've enabled Large Address Aware and set the medieval2.exe and kingdoms.exe to run as administrators in compatibility mode for Windows 7. I have the files installed on my second hard drive and not in the Program Files folder. I am running the Medieval 2 Definitive Edition from Steam. When I only have TATW 3.2 installed, I can click custom battle in the main menu. When I install DaC V3, it crashes whenever I try to do so. In addition, the campaign crashes. Can you help?

Not sure what I'm doing wrong....my basic third age works fine but when I install this it gets to the loading screen then crashes saying medieval 2 has encountered an inspecified error and will now exit...any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi when I install dac to mods then when I click on third age bat it takes me to dac but when right click dac bat it says can't find med 2 exe or kingdoms exe but I have them there

Hello, I have succefully downloaded and installed the mod but i can't manage to find the app data files in my user's folder, does this mean i can by pass it ? Or that i'm doomed to crash at one point ?

"Simply delete previous versions..." isn't completely clear for beginners. There is no individual folder called DaC for someone to simply select and press delete to leave an unmodded version of TATW. Would a fresh reinstall be better? Or could there be more information provided on what exactly needs deleting from where?

Hi, I'm getting consistent crashes with DaC 3, even after running LAA and saving kingdoms.exe and medieval2.exe. TATW vanilla doesn't seem to have this issue. Crashing occurs before each battle, regardless of graphical settings or armies or maps. I can't seem to figure out the issue. Thanks

I have a problem i cannot explain..Disclaimer I'm on Mac, I know crazy right but here's the thing apart from the fact that Medieval 2 is an app on my computer, My install is in all ways similar and goes smoothly, I have the right location...My message pops up asking me to override, then everything installs in the 'Third_Age_3' folder....AND THEN.....Basically nothing happens lmao....I don't get anything in my mods, I don't get any shortcut on my desktop to open the submod and play it, I don't know where the hell it is and can't open it and don't know any location where to run it...., and when I try to play anything relating all it does is it sends me to third age and frankly it's like it never installed anything although everything is done and it's saying that DAC V.3 is installed successfully....I'm utterly confused

I don't know if your still answering questions, but when I installed the zip file it showed up in my downloads as notebook, don't know how to fix but when I right clicked on it it said I could extract the files to my downloads file, but I didn't for fear it might not work, do I have to move the files to my third age folder or no? and if its showing up as a notebook but still lets me extract the files should I try it? ive tried it on internet explorer, google and firefox and they all pop up the same

@Arachîr Galudirithon I made it to turn 311 yet when its the AI's turn for the Dwarves it freezes and i have to manually close it, is there a reason and can i fix it?!

sorry to bother, but i have a 4gb pc, can i play this mod? because when I install the mod and execute the LAA and chec the box and so on, in olders versions, the kingdoms.exe error pop up. Sorry for bad english

any issue I have done wrong if picking any faction and press play and it loads but then crash? also it seams it does crash aswell when pressing into Custom Battles mode? anything I have missed? has done exactly as you and others have done it and still does not want work, which is sad because I know your submod/mod for Thirde Age mode is the best there is, too bad its not working. :( I have Windows 10 PC with 64 bits and 16GB of RAM so its not that and Third Age mod works more or less ( crashes when fithing Tree Beard in Fangorn as Isengard, but overall it works, but not your mod which is strange for me)

So the game for me is crashing every four or five turns. I have literally followed every step. I am at a loss at what is wrong. Windows 10, 19 g of ram available, disabled UAC, used the Large Adress Aware. I am completely stumped. Any thoughts?

I have a question about the hotfix. I downloaded it of discord, but the Lindon longspear's bug was not fixed. So if I use Hummingbirds fix for that, am I missing out on any other fixes that are through the buildings description file?

I followed both this video and the one for TATW twice and did exactly as you said. I keep getting the error message: Cannot find M2TW or Kingdoms executable. I have kingdoms.exe And I have it installed in the right folder since I followed your videos exactly... please help. I really wanna play haha Update: I uninstalled Medieval II Total War and reinstalled it all a third time. The game will work the first time after install but when I close it and want to play it again it shows loading screen and goes back to desktop. And the error message mentioned above appears when I try to run as administrator.

Its been 5 hours... idk what i am doing wrong. I'm stressed out. I feel like i missed a step but i rewatched your video over and over and still don't know whats wrong. I left click DVC3 and pressed edit and it showed "you must've put the game in a wrong file or folder" but i clicked medieval 2! Fuck i need help lol

My game keeps crashing. I have done the large address aware but when I click open, the kingdoms.exe it becomes kingdoms.exe.exe (I dunno if this is the problem?). And also, my Medieval is in another disc called F. But it's not in the x86 so it can't be UAC or the Virtual Store right??? Some advice would be appreciated

Hi I have small problem with this mod I installed it like on video I add medieval2 and kingdoms to this app in end off instalation. But after that when I trying to run the game I only see loading screen and after couple sec game is closing, can you help me?

I love your content and the mod works great so far. Playing as the elves of lothlorien only has silver trolls when a random mordor army besieges it and the Dol Guldur army that pops up after they almost lose has also silver trolls.

My VirtualStore folder is empty. Even when I have an option to show hidden files and folders. When I run the game I get error 0xc0000142...

I have a question. For some reason my buildings are all red when I play siege battles. My game doesnt crash and it works perfectly fine. Its just that the buildings are red as if a texture pack is missing. Plz help

I've downloaded 3.2 and it works perfect (I'm using steam) but when i follow this guide I get DaC working for everything except campaign. I can run custom battles and everything but when i try to start a campaign it brings me to a loading screen and then once a little smidge of red appears on the loading bar at the bottom of the screen i crash to desktop. Anything I can do to fix this?

Hey, i did everything you've said, every single thing, but it doesnt working. I've watched this video 100 times and i did the same. i'm using power ISO to extract, is that a problem?

Is the installation process the same for disk user? I went back to V 2.2 because my game crashes as soon as i start a campaign. I did recall you telling us disk users to edit something in the bat files.

If i were to add in another variation of DaC in case its submods got released and i renamed the folder to lets say: Third_Age_3_dac_submod would it cause problems? i tried to post in TWC but somehow the moment i tried to post something it logged me out after few seconds idk why

PLEASE HELP! Everything is working fine and all however, the year date is not displaying on campaign! (ex. TA 2980) It breaks my immersion heavily x(

I've got around to install new upload and I have screwed up building icons (most display as barracks from rome 1) Previous version of V3 did not have this issue. Any ideas? Edit: reinstall solved it.

Done this 3 times now and when I attempt to launch the game I get error 0xc0000142 and it closes. Redownloaded and reinstalled everything each time and same result. No idea what I'm doing wrong

TATW works fine for me but when I install DaC it corrupts both TATW as well as the base Medieval II game and I get an error saying that the application did not start correctly (0xc0000142). Does somebody know what the problem is and how to fix it?

Hi, I followed the guide and I found out that If i use the Large Adress Aware , both medieval2.exe and kingdoms.exe become unusable. If I try to launch the mod I will simply get an error saying it wasnt possible to start the app (0xc0000142). Any ideas on why this is happening?

Installed everything according to your tutorials and my game doesn't even try to launch. A tiny square appears in the middle and immedietly closes and nothing ever happens. Tried everything, installing to C or D disk, copying medieval2.exe, even renaming and still never anything happens when I try to launch..

Which folders do I have to delete in order to remove 2.2? If there is DAC folder in the third age folder, for the life of me I cannot find it.

I'm on MAC. When i get to installing DAC the LAA box pops up and so does the one letting me advance but the box that has the large address aware box doesn't. Do you know why??

Do we need to patch medieval 2 before? i installed devide and conquer in and tatw in crusaders, then it works and its very weird because the menu is different now, it has war of the ring, and then alternate campaigns, when i click war of the ring its like i play the original tatw , when i go to alternate campaigns the factions have wrong banners, wrong names,not introduction when i start to play the game, its very weird and pale. I dont know what i did wrong. I also just checked that i cant run the devide and conquer campaign , when i press start it just goes back in the alternate campaigns menu

Help! When I double click on the desktop icon, it opens the original Medieval total war 2. Maybe it has something to do with the renaming of the Original 3.2 mod into "americas" (it is necessary to play it)?

For LAA, I got the notepad pop up, but instead of the box, I got a signal from Windows saying that the app needed to install a program. I assume it was the Large Address Aware, and it did so, but now I'm not sure where to go to find it, since the box didn't pop up after LAA finished installing. Help? Edit: Nevermind, found it in the Third Age folder. Convenient.

Hm funny, while installation there's an error "An error occured while trying to copy a file: The source file is corrupted" to \data\animations\pak.dat and everything is done right tatw 3.2 and a path of installation. Dont know whats going on

Also when playing Gundabad I found out that the New Husbands for the female members are just Orcs and the one family member male doesnt have the trait Snow-Orc (the one who first comes of age)

Welp. I thought I did it right and every time I click on the thumbnail for the game, it brings up the base game for Medieval II - not Divide and Conquer. What have I done wrong? I'm so turned around and confused by all the file locations and everything. It's to note also that I bought the big version of Medieval II with the kingdoms expansion. I had Third Age Reforged beforehand, wanted to have D&C instead, so I uninstalled the main game again then did the download for D&C . I believed that I deleted Reforged too as well but for whatever reason I am still messing up. ANY HELP, FOLKS?

In the multiplayer battle menu you can't choose Angmar. Is there an easy way to add them to that menu? You can choose Angmar in the single player battle menu. Thanks
