So so cute! He really is growing up so fast. So great to see Bryan teaching Daniel this very important lesson, and such a sweet and tender father-son moment. Thanks for sharing, as always it puts a big smile on my face to see your two amazing kids. Love Sarah.
I'm in such a sentimental mood right now, which explains the reason why I watched this video on the verge of tears. So sweet, so touching, so genuine. I fall in love with your family more and more with each video. Thank you SOOOO much for being you! Umph, umph, umph...so sad that people are PETRIFIED of a family that is so incredibly beautiful. I wish my straight family were like yours when I was growing up. Take care, Jay. Stay blessed. :-)
It was a delightful video. I have to say one of things that strikes me over and over in the videos is how easily Daniel is tickled by something a daddy says-- and what a great laugh he has. I hope he maintains that sunny disposition always.
Not even my dad (a straight male) took the time to show me how to shave or put a tie on etc. I am so emotional right now watching this video. I wish i had fathers like you both. Im so proud of what you guys are doing. Keep this videos happening ill be watching!
Dear Leffew dads, don't fell sad that your kids are getting bigger. Yall are both obviously such wonderful fathers that I'm sure Daniel and Selena will love you forever. Don't pay attention to ignorant low-lifes. You have the seal of approval from the only critics that matter-your wonderful children. Thank goodness for the Leffew family!!!
This is kind of a hit for me, living in Italy where my gay friend just told me he is practically sure he won't be able to get to adopt a kid if things stay like they are. This vid made me smile, you two are great dads, and the only thing which matters in a family is how we love each other. So... my best wishes for you all. I SO hope things will change where I live.
I had an awful day at work and I come home alone, what I wouldn't give to have a family of my own... A loving husband and children to care for... it would be nice... I am 41 now so I am not sure if that will happen but you never know. You guys are such an inspiration!!! thanks for putting a smile on my face.
Just saw this for the first time.To cute. When I was a little girl,I liked to watch my dad shave.Sometimes he would put shave cream on my cheeks and use the back of the razer to "shave" it off.Now that my dad is gone,I cherish those memories.God bless.
Happy New year guys and hope Celina & Daniel get what they ask to Santa!! God Bless you and my best wishes for 2010. Thanks for sharing this moments :-)
Hey, I just want to say this video made me grin like an idiot. So cute!!! I hope all the bad comments don't get to you, they are the authors problems not yours. Have a great new year.
Brian, Jay- You guys are TOO CUTE. I totally understand the jokes, and if somebody doesn't understand it they obviously have quite a few brain cells missing. This is such an adorable and important milestone moment, and I'm glad you captured it on camera so you can show Daniel later in life! I bet he'll crack up. You are wonderful fathers. Hey, how old is Daniel now? I feel like I should know but I forgot!
The worse part of shaving is when the hair grows back Daniel so enjoy a stress free face now. This was such a cute video, I learn't how to shave on my own and that is why I wear a beard, and trim when I stop looking like a hot bear and start looking like a jim henson creature. Jay and Bryan you really are the greatist parents.
OMG!!! My Dad actually did teach me the same thing..your vid just jolted a long ago memory in my brain!! Thanks!! I just cannot say it enough..your children are so PRECIOUS!!!! If you ever need a babysitter..please call me!!!! Hugs!! Jim
This is awesome. I wish I had someone showing me how to shave. I probably wouldn't have came out my first time looking like I was groped by Freddy Kruger LOL You two have beautiful children who are lucky enough to have parents to walk them through everything instead of having to figure it out for themselves.
What a fun video! I will admit I got teary eyed when Bryan suggested that he was. My son will be 13 in April and has alot of upper lip hair growth. Not enough to shave quite yet though. He and I have talked and I think he's leaning towards leaving it there. Time will tell...
That was totally awesome! I had to take a double take at the shaving cream container, it would have surprise me if Santa had brought it with a Star Wars design on it. Sooner than you realize it will be the real thing.
I wish my dad had shown me how to shave and spent some father/son time with me like that, rather than taking me fishing, basketball games, and things I didn't like.
OMG! I remember clearly having this kit when I was a kid! It was so much fun. But then the next week I got one of Dads real razors and tried to shave the hair off my tongue... little did I know it was taste buds not hair ;-/ I totally know that now.
haha i was going to sayyy, i didn't start shaving until high school.lol it sucks! i need to shave like every other 2 days now :< nice moment though, thanks for sharing :)
Very touchin vid , My father never taught me to show although I might add u should shave up instead of down cause u go against the hair and get a cleaner shave , lol .
Actually, if we (American women) were not told that shaving our legs and pits is what society deems as acceptable, fashionable, more hygenic, etc., we would not be doing it. I highly doubt you will find many women who admit to liking to shave their legs. Just my 2 cents worth...
Long live the electric razor!! LOL!! I shaved ONCE with a bladed manual razor and it felt like I was ripping my face off! Can you say "OUCH!!!!" LOL!! Never again!! I have a Braun electric razor and it does the job in minutes just fine.
@depfox Thank you for being such a sweetheart, and patient with me, Jay. You must be the most easy-going cop in California. You really make me wish i were a crook, so we might have a nice, long conversation in the car on the way to the pen.
HI In one of your video,s you explained Daniels condition,I can,t find the video, can you tell me the name of it so I can look it up to better understand it.After seeing your video,s I felt I needed to do my part to help out so I am going through the process right now of becoming a Big Brother to a fatherless boy.Now that I realize Gay people can make a difference in a kids life, even though many say we can not. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME
@depfox Regarding Daniel: I don't think you're gender-programing him by giving him the shaving play kit. I just think it's a peculiar game to give an 11 year old. I guess it just had never occurred to me how playful shaving can be. Then again, come to think about it, one of the goals of children's games is to prepare them for adulthood, so maybe my surprise is uncalled for.
@debbieomi I completely agree. American society seems very big on body modification. All men get circumcised. Everyone has to have the perfect face etc. But who am I to judge. I was just trying to get EvenEvenOdd to see things in perspective.
