Lately while in quarantine in NYC, home schooling my little guy, and working full-time from home; I have gotten into the habit of once I wake up and feed him breakfast, I make some coffee and turn on my oil diffusers in the house and a candle in the kitchen and do a quick tidy up and wipe down surfaces and the bathroom. By the time I have to begin working, the house feel serene and less messy. Thanks for the motivation and ideas! xoxo!

That’s a fantastic idea of using a timer to clean! I need to start doing that. Lately, I’ve been in a rut and try to clean in the evenings and at night. I love the 10 min tidy tip. I can get caught up in the details sometimes and my 10 min tidy turns into a 30 min tidy, I’m working on not sweating the details. I hear you on the decluttering! Less clutter helps me not get too overwhelmed 😊

Hi Amy, great video! I always make my bed, clean the kitchen and tidy up other living spaces as needed everyday. I will do laundry about 4 times a week, and also mop, clean cabinets, and dust at least once a week. My home is under 2000 square feet, so it’s small, and that makes cleaning easier too.😊 Have a wonderful Day!!💖

Amy I hit the button for thumbs up as soon as you come on. I have been either lighting a candle or diffusing oils every day. They make me happy and get my day going. Along with a cup of coffee. I use flylady's 15 minute plan. Get what I can get done in 15 minutes. Then start the timer going again. You can get a lot done in that time. And I just see where you go for 20 minutes. I love it. You never disappoint, I thoroughly enjoyed the video. I have been trying your method since this corona issue and I am safely at home every day. I'm a single mom with a sick child and I also work full time so all my cleaning and laundry and everything else was left till Sundays which was too much. I guess something good can come from even a bad a situation as this. You are motivating and I love it when you talk about Gid's goodness as I too am a Christian. Amy I have always had a routine. You are a very smart girl. That is the only way, I think, that anybody can keep up is with some kind of routine. Now we all have things that we have to do each day besides our routine, but here is mine. Monday: Strip beds, do all bathrooms from top to bottom. Tuesday: Do all my floors, sweep, mop, vacuum. And yes I sweep because I find vacuum cleaners will leave a little residue of dirt behind on hardwood, so I use my trusty broom. Now I also sweep every night before I go to bed and swiffer if there are areas that need it. Wednesday: I do all my glass tops, which really is very time consuming and I also do them on Saturday. My coffee table and end tables in the living room have glass tops and mirrors on the bottom. The ones in the den are glass tops. And my formal dining room table and server are glass tops also. I find myself asking myself why I ever wanted glass, especially when I do the living room. Lol. Thursday I dust and polish all my wood furniture. Sunday is my laundry day. Friday is really the only day I don’t have a chore set to do. Now I can’t do this everyday all the time because I will have to go shopping or do something with a friend or something. You know. But I stick to it pretty much. That way I never have days when I will have to clean from dust to dark or take me a couple of days to do it. And that is why your house always look so good. If you don’t have a routine you will live in a messy house especially with kids.

i don’t have a routine. i keep a “gentle list” and if i don’t finish, i write it for the next day.

Hi, really enjoyable video! Just a little tip though, disinfectants need time to sit in order to kill germs. If you wipe it straight off with a dry paper towel it does nothing, unfortunately. Most disinfectants need to stay wet for several minutes to work. It will say how long to leave it for on the back of the bottle. Hope this helps people xxx

Love seeing your cleaning videos! You have a pretty house. Just wondering won’t the germs spread by wiping the inside of the sink first then the counters? The inside of the sink is usually the dirtiest, I usually use 2 separate paper towels or cloths to clean the counter then the inside of the sink Just a suggestion 😊
