Hows about a little trade? My best friends who come from Latin and Lao/Thai backgrounds would probably appreciate me finally picking up some new language xD
ALRIGHT SO NOW THAT I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION. Finishing up the JP subs so all of you suffering the JLPT can read along everything we talked about! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this episode! This was one of my absolute favorites to edit. See you same time next week!
It just gets better and better. My heart is overflowing with joy from such a great production. The major streaming services are missing out on this series.
Wow that's where my father was born. I always thought it was a dull, boring 田舎 but through your eyes it looks amazing! Next summer when I visit the ancestral home for お盆 I will explore the town on my own. Thank you!
I really appreciate these deeper dives into quiet corners of the places you choose to visit. The quality of your work keeps going up and up and up. Lovely to see.
Wow Loretta, these recent videos you've been posting have all been super high-quality and genuinely fascinating. This level of Japanese is also ぴったり for my current level! Thanks a bunch! :)
Beautifully done! Appreciate the lengths to which to you spoke with the guide to ensure cultural appropriateness, too. As someone who grew up in Japan many years ago, I'm so pleased to see you bringing your full self to your travels. The ワッショイ section in the museum brought back memories! Looking forward to the next video!
This series really shows how incredible the production quality is & your hard work Loretta & I love it! A beautiful taste of seeing Japan from home. I had to go back to hear the beautiful ocean sound at the footbath place. Ahh so calming to hear for the ears & the lovely view of the bay close by!
Gorgeous, gorgeous video! Honestly, I was reluctant about watching it because of the clickbaity title and confusing thumbnail (which makes no justice to the wonderful content provided) but I'm glad RU-vid offered it to me again. Thank you for once more taking us along on a beautiful trip to a less known Japan
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!!! One of my big goals this year was to improve the audio and JP subtitles (so the viewers can actually get something out of these videos) .... And to finally fix my drone after breaking it in Akita (so I can personally oggle all the gorgeous landscapes). 🥳 It's a lot of work but seriously fun to edit and I'm so glad you liked it!
ahhhh the video did hit me straight to my heart, it became really 懐かしい to me!! the quality of the edit is gorgeous, it really matches all the emotions that were meant to be expressed here. Thank you soo much from the deepest, you are amazing ;) wooow
I love your passion for 🇯🇵 culture. I never been to Japan I met a few people from there I was taking GED classes The students from 🇯🇵 was learning how to read, & write in 🇺🇸 English. I'm an Sailor Moon fan I dream of going to Tokyo
I'm always thrilled to get notifications from you, because you keep inspiring me and giving me the motivation I need to keep at my goals. The cinematography is beautiful, as always
Hi ya, this is your best video production yet, absolutely fabulous! Have you thought about marketing these videos to US Armed forces Japan, Stars and Stripes and Armed Forces Network Pacific? I wish I could have seen productions like this when I was stationed in Japan (US Navy).
These sights are so beautiful! That one "fish" looked like a mix between a dolphin and a penguin. 😀 Thank you for sharing and recording these treasures!
You got the whole aquarium to yourself? !!! I have to agree with the other comments about the quality of the production. It is excellent - to say the least.
Another great festival vid, Loretta! Apparently, the Noto peninsula doesn't get as many visitors as it deserves. Others have remarked on how great the food is, too. The dolphin in the aquarium was so unusual! Do you know what kind it is?
I checked the aquarium website and apparently it's a "kamairuka", pacific white-sided dolphin ? 🤩❤️ It didn't even occur to me this new friend was so different. I havent been to an aquarium in so long...
The image on the thumbnail is eye-catching, the title is a bit cringey though. You have always been and will always be a beautiful black woman in Japan in my eyes Loretta-san/Kemushi-chan , never a _black_ _chick_ But alas, it's just words. I always respect your work and enjoy your content. Just thought I'd leave my two cents, along with my knee-jerk reaction. Heck, I haven't even started watching the video yet. But I know I won't be disappointed.🥰
❤️❤️❤️ Hajimemashite, might I introduce you to...*my inner demons*? Yep! Believe me, I definitely understand where you're comimg from. I had to cut a lot of the scene in question for brevity's sake, but I'll share here that I spent a lot of time speaking with the kimono ladies about life events, expectations as a woman, especially as a visibly foreign woman in Japan and a lot of the flack I've had to endure along the way. I can't remember if you saw it but in my Japan university graduation vlog I was wearing hakama/furisode and ended up getting an earful about how I wore the wrong clothes as a married woman/ should've done more research. Long story short, I've always been nervous about misrepresenting how much I love the culture here. I know you know what's going on but there's still an alarming amount of young girls who regularly ask me about identity and black identity issues in Japan; whether or not just being themselves is ok (resounding YES!!) Hoping the conversation in this video can help inspire those same girls to get out of their comfort zones and try something new on their own, too.
@@kemushichan Tysm! I followed the link already, but I didn't see a list of tracks before. Just tried it out again, and noticed you can click away the subscribe-ad, it was a bit hidden. ^^' But now I see the track list.
To think they can lift and pivot that massive 20 ton float... It's crazy. I swear someone else I follow went to the instagram mirror table recently. Unless you went here a while ago and put it on the Discord. Would you mind telling me the feeling you had when you were wearing the wedding dress? Was it like an out of body experience?
Ooo was it my friend Adeptfitness at the mirror table in Tokamachi?? In the dress I mostly felt like "SORRY BOOMER" because it's about crossing through the noren curtain from your current fam into the next (someone please drag boomer and lily through behind me). I think I felt more nervous than my wedding day? Haha like "am I doing this right?!"
@@kemushichan I don't know Adeptfitness. I feel like it was a video, so it had to be either Emma, Sam, or Jenn. I can't remember, though. If it was anyone on instagram it would've been Kathryn B, but I don't think it was her. This is going to drive me nuts. I just asked Jenn and she said it wasn't her. Kathryn said it wasn't her either. I can imagine there's a pressure to not mess it up because you're doing something that's very foreign to you. I think you did a great job and you looked amazing. Maybe in the future you can renew your wedding vows to Boomer in a Japanese wedding.
Wow, kemushi-chan visited Nanao city! I am living in the next town of there, My wife actually use a Hanayome Noren but only one time and as you learned very expensive, next time please call me up or access FB
What a gorgeous experience!! Out of curiousity, did you also have a noren then? They are EXTREMELY expensive but so beautiful. The wedding gift culture across Ishikawa is so beautiful. It's a bit down a ways but the tamari balls from Kanazawa are a special favorite of mine.
