Unfortunately for the birds, your mistake is a common one. You are using the dietary requirements of chickens-but quails are not chickens. They are game birds and therefore need a much higher protein percent in their diet. 30% protein from hatching till first egg is laid. Reduce the protein then to 24%-27% and raise calcium in order to avoid bound egg problems. Your birds are malnourished and not getting the best start on life that they could be. If you don’t want to get the standard Game Bird Starter feed then increase their protein intake with additions. Next, heat is not required for forced egg laying, just light. Fourteen hours is all it takes. A string of Christmas lights is enough; no spotlight. Think soft like sunrise and sunset to start and end days with. There are a lot of good poultry forums out there you should check out before making more videos like this.
