The collector cup is used when making creamers which uses less water but does go inside the unit and holds the water. Check the creamer recipes on the website!! Love it. And I freeze the pulp in ice trays and use in my smoothies.

I just got my almond cow deliver to me Saturday, May 1 . I was so excited when I got it I used it the first day . I had decided to finally buy it because for years I had used a nut milk bag . I just got tired of squeezing out the nut milk . This is so much easier and less mess to clean up too . I love it. It’s worth the price

You can actually put the plastic thing inside! There's a tip on the Almond Cow YT channel where you can fill the plastic container up with water instead of the metal base and that way, the basket "reaches" the water level but you're using less water, so generally get a thicker milk. It's a good tip!

I love my Almond Cow! I’ve been using it 1 to 2 times a week since January 2021 :) I press the cow button twice, so run two full cycles. I find I get a nicer milk that way. The pulp freezes well (I use silicone mold with little wells - then I pop them in a silicone freezer bag). This way you don’t have to use it right away.

I have a SoyaJoy G4 which I use to make soymilk. Soy milk has to be heated which the SoyaJoy does for you. I do have to strain through a nut milk bag when done. Good thing about the SoyaJoy is that you can make all kinds of nut milks, it has different buttons to select, also porridge . I think the Almond Cow is great for those who don't want to make soy milk but the SoyaJoy is more versatile at a cheaper price. Both of these products make a fresher and superior product than store bought at a great price

I think it is cool in concept and looks really easy to clean. I've made almond milk in my Vitamix filtering with cheese cloth. I'd rather put $200 towards a high speed blender (if I didn't have one already) then a single use appliance.

Yup. For the price point, it doesn't do enough. I've had a blend Tec for nearly 20 years and I can make milk in that. But I did recently purchase a small nut milk maker that is a knock off of the nutr. It was less than 100. And it has multiple functions and can make rice, oat and soy milk, along with other nut and seed milks. It has a clean setting and delay start and keep warm. It makes smaller batches but that means I can make a variety of nut and seed milks. I still could use my blender but I seem to make milk more with my nut milk maker. But it's only worth it to me because it has multiple settings/uses AND it was less than 100 (with a coupon). For 250, I would rather make a down payment on the nutramilk, which is truly amazing but whose size and price tag I can't quite justify. LOL

I was a 18% cream in my coffee girl i was sure i was giving up coffee. I bought mhself an Almond Cow for Cnristmas and OMG i love it! You can make so much more than milk. You make creamer in the collector cup. It tells you on that sticker with the cow on how to do it.

Since this video the prices have changed due to inflation. I'm sure. But it was still 255 for the machine, bottle, and brush. Looks like the nuts and grains don't come in the paper sacks anymore and they are quite pricey. I chose to get those items at my local coop and Costco. I go through a lot of oatmilk which is now almost 6 dollars per carton! I figure, if anything this will save me money on oatmilk, save cartons from being trashed, and maybe keep me from making all those extra purchases I didn't intend to when I'm at the store. Also! Your discount link took 25 dollars off! Thank you!

Ever since seeing the Almond Cow for the first time, I am dreaming about it. Still, cannot justify the price for now (similarly to a Vitamix) but I really love the concept - it would be SO SO helpful in limiting the amount of plant-milk cartons my fam goes through... Plus, I have heard only good things about the taste and texture of the milks from the Almond Cow so I am pretty much sure it is worth the money! . Happy for your sponsorship guys! It would have been great if you had made and tasted all four versions of milk. And knowing if other nuts are available cheaper through the company without looking it up would be nice but that’s me being lazy. Now the big ask - can you make a macaron with the leftover almond pulp? You mentioned it could be dried out to make almond flour but I don’t know enough about regular almond flour processing to know if/how much of the oils and liquids are removed vs left in. While I haven’t made a vegan macs yet I’ve seen them successfully made with chickpea specific aquafaba. I’m trying to get there but bean water is still the slimy stuff I rinse off obsessively. It would be great not to waste it. Thanks!

So make sure that it's vegan also I would've liked it not to been in a same facility as the rest as well. I'm gluten free and don't do soy at all. Apparently, if you run it through a second cycle, it gets better. But the reality is, one cup of nuts to 5-6 cups of water is fairly watery. I always used 1 to 4 in the blender. 1 to 3 if I want it like whole milk or half and half texture. 1 to 5 is gonna give you skim milk equivalent.

Is it cheaper or better for the environment than using my blender and milk bag?

You'd have to weigh those costs for you I think depending on what you currently pay since it varies everywhere

Anyone that's a single person have this product? I'm unsure if I want this because all of the pulp and if I'd make enough milk to go with this price tag.

Obviously we aren't single, but you can make half batches and you can dry out the pulp and grind it to make flour and store it that way. Hope that helps

Actually it’s not quite correct what you said about the collector cup. You can put it in the almond cow for really thick and creamy milks and for creamer. Look up the videos on almond cow’s RU-vid channel for more information.

It’s not a starter kit. It is THE kit. Plus your non organic almonds! 😫

Thanks for this video! I have an Almond Cow and I love it! One suggestion related to your comments about collector cup usage - this can be used inside the pitcher to make a smaller volume of creamier milk (instead of adding water to the pitcher it is added to the collector cup). I think Almond Cow calls this "creamer" style and there are some recipes on their website: almondcow.co/blogs/creamer

for me and my hands, I found it helps to use the cup as a wrench, it's awesome it helps these hands connect the blade to the basket.
