Long long lasting Marine Grease from supertech working spectacular keeping up with hard demands ,pressure , salt water, heat, cold and rain on the BG line roller. Note I still haven't replace the line roller collars yet because this grease is extending the life of the pushings.....Witch is AWSOME!😀😀got to love that I recommend you put this grease on all your BG line roller weather new or old it will repel any salt water or sand from getting in there and will save you time and money....SO....PACK It in THERE 😀😀.
Of course don't forget to wear glove as when handleing this grease it really STICKS .....and don't forget to Subscribe to my channel. Enjoy the video

I'm glad you discovered the marine grease. You can't go wrong with it. It's the only thing I use on my reels and any equipment that works around water. Thanks for your videos.

The bg is a beast. I fish off a kayak a few times a week and it gets soaked with saltwater. Still running smooth. You absolutely cant beat it for the price.

Anybody out there with a Daiwa BG that eventually experiences the binding and locking up of the line roller do your self a favor and buy an after market roller bearing from a seller on eBay for about $12.00. I installed the bearings on three different sizes of the BG real fast and the result is amazing. A drop of synthetic motor oil every other use and no more thick grease that actually restricted the roller action.

The difference between marine grease and automotive grease is that marine grease has nothing that will cause electrolyses. Mainly lead. You need such small amounts for a reel that you can buy some really good stuff.,

Tube of automotive/boat Marine grease will go a long ways and work for reels for way cheaper. I use a tub of Super Lube grease. It's clear/translucent

try 2 or 1 5x9x3 99 cent rubber sealed bearings on ebay and you won't have to deal with line roller anymore. had to add a plastic shim on mine though because the ones i got were slightly less the 3mm for absolutely no play.

How thick is this stuff? I have a carpet cleaning machine that uses an air powered pump for the hose attachment and I don’t want to use thick grease that can make the pump underperform (The pump is leaking water and coming out of the dryer exhaust vents which causes my carpets to soak up during operation)
@israelvibrations100
@israelvibrations100 2 года назад
It's actually not thick it's very very thin inconsistency especially when it gets hot it almost turns to water but it does have a very greasy texture to it and the sense of smooth and slippery not sticky and slimy
@hamzahassan7730
@hamzahassan7730 2 года назад
@@israelvibrations100 Hmm ok. I think definitely the friction from the spinning turbine could make it a bit softer. But good to know its not too thick

Hello there! I like all your videos that you put out about the BG's. Do you used the marine grease on your gears and main bearing as well? If not, what grease do you use? I just bought the 4500 series for my 10 ft rod and I want to grease all the parts that needs grease 1st thing 1st before intruducing my new reel to a salt water. Please advise thanks!

Actually I only used marine grease in the line roller....I have yet to use it on or in the main gears due to such a tight seal. I have my reels for almost 1 year and 2 months and they are all still very smooth and no issues yet great Great reel!😀😀....I would love to see how much smoother the reels would behave but what I dont know is the grease type Daiwa accually uses thickness or consistency. But what i do know this Marine grease REPELS saltwater and fresh water and LAST FOREVER! But on another note this grease on hot hot days tends to be runny..that's why I see other marine greases with much thicker consistency preventing that issue. This Supertech Marine Grease is cheep and works just as great is why i use it....but in the main gear I have yet to try it....IM SURE IT WILL LAST FOREVER and probably never need new grease if applied 😀😀😀

I actually dunked one for about a minute and it only had a few drops inside. From the factory daiwa uses a very thin white grease that seems to make the reel feel smoother in my opinion, i wouldn't replace it unless you feel the smoothness has declined or you dunked it. They seem to be very well sealed
@israelvibrations100
@israelvibrations100 5 лет назад
@@coolkid6364 I agree Daiwa seems to have a great seal in the main gear box. Still very smooth...I'll be making my next video from 1 year use and show everyone how well it still remains smooth.

Grease and oil are not the same thing. You keep calling grease oil. My BG manual shows adding a drop of oil (not grease) to the line roller.

Would you use this on the internal gears of a baitcaster and spinning reels? Im new to greases sorry if its a silly question. I recently used lithium grease on my baitcasyer and am feeling it wasnt a good call lol

I'll get back to you.....
@israelvibrations100
@israelvibrations100 4 года назад
Yes I would use this type of grease on a bait caster reel....but the only thing that does worry me is this grease is very runny on hot days and tends to drizzle....remember this grease is commercial and it's meant to be under water and as you know any water it pretty cold so this grease hold well....but since this is being used in spinning reels works great in cold weather and sami warm weather.....I tried this just on the line roller it did get slightly runny...but since the BG 5000 retrieves so fast it can get hot quick.....I would use it not on your personal best reel but a trail first and see how it handles. Hope this info helps😃👍

That is yet to remain to be seen for my self..my only worry is when it get very hot out doors tends to be runny other than that it will an should work great!

Hi, I have CRC marine grease. Is it the same thing with supertech marine grease?
@israelvibrations100
@israelvibrations100 6 лет назад
Adi Hagnyosaroyo yes it is the same has the same properties.....but just might slightly different bonding materials or ingredients.....if you have a a pair of rubber gloves try running the grease between your fingers and do that for several minutes if it still slides between you fingers without getting tacky or sticky( mean becomes rough as you slide your fingers) but if it's still slippery you have a great Marine Grease.....if not it still a good grease and will stick to your line roller for a VERY long time and makes a great ceal..will protect from salt water and sand coming inside your line roller.So the only thing I don't know if your line roller will run tight...because it's a tackyer grease tends to grip more than slide in the line roller bushings. But hay try the CRC out it will work great😀
