I gt a Bg 8000..its a rubbish reel. I gt a Penn battle 2 much older reel..I gt more from this older reel than this Daiwa B.G...I will not recommend the B.G. plus spares too expensive...I personally will never buy ànother Daiwa product. The best reel Daiwa made was a multiplier Sl50 value for money caught many monsters wt this reel.
Great to HEAR! So far I had mine for 6 year still STILL GOING STRONG?!Can you believe it????????? Best purchase I ever made. Enjoy this bad ass tough reel.
make your life easier and don't buy another daiwa spinning. saragosa twin power and stella way better. And I have 10-15 daiwas... need to get rid of them always magseal and bb issues. super annoying stuff
the only problem in istanbul we have a lot of current and we need little bigger size but bg 4500 is way bigger like there is not middle heavy reel between 4000 and 4500 thats the problem with daiwa other brand okuma penn etc always middle size , ı mean does not go 400 gr heavy to 630 gr
😂 my bad two main reason why I wear them I accully work at a hospital CNA certified so surgical gloves i buy at Harbor freight but I wear them cuz the bait I use Gulp sandworms and has a very strong smell and sticks to your skin same with handling any fish has oils on scales. It's all so I dont have to bring that stuff back in my car while I drive. And the other main reason is for casting since its braid it does not cut through my fingers
sand is why I tend to bring a sports bottle full of distilled water with me to the beach. That way I can squirt some distilled water on the reel to get rid of the sand and continue to use the reel.
How thick is this stuff? I have a carpet cleaning machine that uses an air powered pump for the hose attachment and I don’t want to use thick grease that can make the pump underperform (The pump is leaking water and coming out of the dryer exhaust vents which causes my carpets to soak up during operation)
It's actually not thick it's very very thin inconsistency especially when it gets hot it almost turns to water but it does have a very greasy texture to it and the sense of smooth and slippery not sticky and slimy
Have a penn batalliaon 10ft, and need a reel. Cant decide on a 4000, 4500, or a 5000 bg. Want to fish off Florida piers and cape cod canal. Cant decide on reel size and lbs line test braided....??? The bg5000 takes 360 yards of 50lbs braid yet a roll only has 300 yards. So do i need a 500 yard roll? What a waste. Thx y'all
What you can do is add Mano backing ofnyour spool for 50 to 100 yards....if I remember correctly 50 pound braid depends on the type of thickness of the braid is.....I never had a problem not filling the spool out from my BG 5000. I THINK back then I was using spider wire 50lbs braid...maybe thus will help your choice of braidnthat will fill your spool
Hi any ideas my diawa bg 4000 is brand new took it out today but its making a horrible noise under tension on the retrieve its hard to explain the noise
*Bought a 500 for an ultralight rod. It's very smooth **enjoyable.fishing** recommend casts great. One odd thing- the bale wire is a bit heavy diameter in my opinion for a reel of this size. But a great purchase.*

Diawa do not make them anymore so this is not valid anymore it was a great product . They got everyone excited then doubled the price of the next product fail Diawa .
I will be on the sea fishing off a canoe (Philippines). I'm trying to decide what to buy. I will be jigging, trolling, & casting. What would you prefer for a rod length? (trying to decide between a 6 ft or 7 ft). & maybe a 4000 BG reel
If I was on a canoe shorter rods are much better that longer rods...easier to work with and less difficult to bring in fish on the boat...the longer a rod is the more difficult to land a fish with a net being further from you holding a long 7 or 8 foot rod. If your deep-sea fishing straight down....I'd recommend a short rod six or so with a BG 5000 for it fast line retrieve 47 inches that is extremely fast....but if your casting off a boat like a canoe...7 feet with a BG 4000 will be just perfect 30lbs J-braid 8x...for the BG 5000 25pound Mano P-line CX FOR DEEP sea fishing.
Okay so that fishing rod Celilo to native Americans it means echo of falling water... Celilo Falls was a 12-mile stretch of the Columbia River that contained a series of waterfalls and rapids. The Native American name for the area is “Wyam,” which is said to mean “echo of falling water” in several Native American languages.
what size line is on the bg4000? i added 12lb P line but sometimes would come off the spool almost like it’s too big or too much when reality it’s not.
You might have over spooled...your line 12lbs mano should be just fine. I personally used to use 30lbs J-braid but changed to 20lbs braid instead do to the fact I can cast much much further with much less effort. So to answer your question 12lbs mano is perfect just dont over fill your spool or dont lay your mano line too tight aswell two reasons why you line may unspool itself...15lbs 20lbs 30lbs J-Braid will work just as great...Happy fishing!😃😃
I own a reel repair business. I recommend you take that roller apart ASAP. WD40 eats your grease and oil. Clean it with WD40 or CRC Electronics cleaner. Dry it well with pressurized air on the bearings and bushings. Then lube your bearings with a good quality oil like Clenzoil or a nice synthetic like Royal Purple 20W. Then put waterproof grease on both ends of the roller assembly before putting it back together on the bail. I use Yamalube because it is amazing and light weight. Reassemble and rinse with fresh water regularly after use in salt water. Lube frequently.
Yes I did do that as soon as I got home....this video was just experimenting purposes...and what to expect with sand salt water and dryness. But thanks for your comments and for watching😃😃
Great video. I’m hoping the BG 6500 I just purchased will hold up to some monster sturgeon this year. Last year, I hauled in a 6’ - 7” 150# monster from a boat. When I found out the bank guys were getting them, I was sold!
Yes it's only a temporary fix...just to keep on fishing...best to regrease..all gear components including the line roller is the best thing to after applying WD40
It will depend if your casting and jigging with lures will be difficult if your using a 11ft rod but if your baiting or bottom fishing will be just fine if that's the case with you. And using a BG 4000 will work just fine I use a 4000 for just bottom fishing baiting that is with 30lbs braid. How this info helps. Happy Fishing!😃😃😃
These Surf perch were caught with fake blood worms Gulp(gamo) 6inch or 2 inch and I also used real blood worms....if you can't buy them sand crabs will always work
I haven't owned at BG 3000 yet but I'm assuming it might be too small but if I I used it for large mouth bass I think it could handle 4 to 8 pound fish pretty steady.
@@ibogames3915 the only thing that would making casting or spin fishing heavy would be the length of your rod the longer the rod the more weight on your hand and wrist. So i would go to a tackle shop and put on a BG 3000 or 4000 to feel the balance of its weight and compare the rods length in your hand. But in my opinion I can cast all day with a BG 4000 or 3000
@@israelvibrations100 i got 9ft rod the weight is 180grams i can cast 7-42 grams with it so i think i go for the bg 3500, i cant go to a tackle shop now because of the COVID-19
BG 5000 hands down almost in any application of salt water deep sea fishing ,surf casting or baiting....This reel is In my Opinion the best of the best for casting, high speed line retrieve, power, torque simplicity light to the turn but built like work horse. Get the BG 5000 PLZ. On another note regarding 50lbs Braid try using P-line CX MOSSgreen...30lbs very very strong. Give it a try it will fill your spool perfect 25lbs or 30lbs....today I had my line stuck on a rock by the shore and man I was pulling using my weight my arms were burning to it finally snapped...i choose this line for invisibility strength hardness yet soft awesome cast ability and exsteemly fray resistant compared to braid and its much much more faster to retrieve line were as braid tends to grip on all your eyes rings of your rod and the line roller on your reel creates more drag throwing and reeling. The thinker the braid the harder to throw and reel in line.So P-line CX has Been the set up for me on any application for BG 5000. Happy FISHING!😃😃
Rod power is medium light , lures max can be up to 3oz.....but with this same rod I use even up to 5oz pyramid weight...not for casting but more baiting but i still cast a mile with that kinds of weight on that rod and reel braid 20lbs J-Braid
