It hurts the cap which hurts the structure of the roster the front office could put together and last I checked the fans are the ones buying the merchandise, tickets and enticing these networks to spend billions on broadcasting rights so ya fans actually are paying these salaries because the cap goes up based on league revenue.. I'm not a Cowboys fan but it's easy to understand why a fanbase wouldn't want to pay a QB like Dak top of market money..
