I sub to several Fox/Mustang channels but your build is my all time favorite. Everything you have done or plan is well thought out. And the fact you are doing it at home in your garage reminds us we can do it also. Thanks for great content and never disappointing 👍

Man I really really appreciate comments like this...keeps me motivated. And yes! whats the fun in letting big shops build your car for you. It all can absolutely be done at home, just takes a little creativity.

Just wanna say. I look forward to each of your videos. I've been watching almost every fox channel their is for years and years including yourself. And you are one of the only ones left who hasn't sold out to sponsors guiding your opinions or making mindless, babbling content every other day just for views. One of the last relatable channels for the normal average guy if you ask me and I hope you keep it up!

Man i can’t say how i appreciate hearing that. Sorry I just now noticed this comment… A lot of folks compare me to those guys…truth is, I’m still a tiny nobody in the RU-vid world, and still do it for fun and for the small group of people who seem to deeply appreciate this content. But its folks and comments like this, every now and then, that keep me doing it. I’m certainly not sponsored and not getting paychecks from RU-vid .. but in all honesty, I’ve had a part here or there given to me out discounted, because I was usually going to pay full price for the part anyway. I’m grateful for that, but you end up making the content feel like a sales pitch our commercial “usually” some companies have been great. But there are “partnered videos” for a single product, and definitely not a sponsorship. Without sponsorships you have more freedom imo. Anyway, appreciate this! Cheers

Cool stuff, always encouraging to accomplish things in the shop. Thank you for the longer videos, I want the tips on how to and how not to do things. We all have those, I wouldn't do it that way again things. Everyone I know that has run the OBD2 interface style Dakota Digital clusters on various platforms has loved them. Looking good.

I have the white VHX gauges in my ‘88. I love them, but these make me a little jealous. These are really cool.

Look into the Newrad Solutions Digital EZ harness when you do Dakota Digital Gauges on the 86.

Badass! Set the odometer to the actual miles of the VIN number and write a small note on the underside of the hood of the engine miles@ mileage of the swap. That way it won't trigger a mileage BS trigger on carfax.

Yeah thats the plan, plus no telling how many miles are on that ecoBoost motor either, was told it was 30-40k

My half sister works for them. I was going to get one since they work with the Terminator X. She said they were a thing I could buy that made them work together or something like that. I’ve never ordered it I’ve been busy and money has been elsewhere

Yes they do. Same type concept I used for the ODB2 interface. This is the BIM-01-02-HLLY module. Feeds right to the gauges. Im telling ya, Dakota Digital has it all covered. www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=1105/category_id=-1/mode=prod/prd1105.htm

Great Video 👍thanks for the upload. Couple Q's If ur running the BIM module to the ODB do you still need a speedo cable? Also which readings/indicators DO NOT go through the ODB/BIM and have to be ran separately Thanks again👍
@HOUSEOFDULA
@HOUSEOFDULA 15 часов назад
Good question. I'll answer this on what I believe, but you might want to call Dakota Digital to confirm. This depends on your ECU. If your ECU has a VSS (speed sensor) then the BIM will pick it up the PID and allow that as an option for the speedo input. My ECU is a ford control pack, so just enough to run the run, but nothing else, no trans control, or speed control. Most ECUs, factory will know its speed from the VSS and send that signal to the Speedo. This is true for all the readings that go through or cant go through the ODB/BIM. If the engine's computer reads it it, the BIM will read it, like Oil press, engine temp, tach, Air temp, boost etc... Things that typically don't go through an ECU...Fuel level, typically separate from the ECU and goes through its own harness, indicator lights like turn signals, bright's indicator..things like that. One thing I love is the Check Engine Light, when thrown on the ECU will throw it up on the dash like a modern car. There really is nothing of this caliber like this on the market that can so quickly and easily convert your classic to a modern instrument cluster.
