The whole James storyline (and all of the final 3 seasons) were so bad that James was never even mentioned in the 2010 revival at all. He was not in the will, and not at JR's funeral.
I believe, but I could be wrong, but earlier, JR was told by the help, when he arrived from camping, that there was a young girl already inside waiting for James. JR went in to see what she wanted. She didn't sneak in or anything.
@@robertscott8344 The difference is JR acted how anybody would, who Knew a stranger was waiting for him as he was told. The poster on here was thinking JR thought she had just wandered or broke in. She hadn't.
Yeah, that kid really looks like James's son. Then, this rube and James's "son" just move into Southfork, even though James is married and had really no business being there himself. Awful, desperate storylines that made the last season almost unwatchable. The greatest nighttime drama ever had fallen so far. It was still better than Dynasty, and lasted longer.
Debra Lyn James first wife & Cally, J.R. Ex wife could almost pass off as being sisters and/or real close friends or even cousin. As for J.R., he’s grampa alright.
In the olden days, J.R. would have had some of his goons run her out of town, or state for that matter! J.R. was so pitiful in the final season. Really a shame he became so pathetic - losing his family, and even Ewing Oil - to Genie and Bobby’s gold-digging sister-in-law!

the real problem with this story line is that James was raised and lived in Europe and to my knowledge had never lived in Texas, so how can he have a history there, however he did dump Michelle for Deborah Lynn and that was worth inventing the story :)
Estranged children comes out sometime this Vanessa Beaumont kept him overseas from Jr this storyline anxious but it fits in it came out that Ray Krebs was jocks son.
Oh no. James was easily one of the worst and most disliked characters in the 13 year original run of Dallas. Sasha Mitchell WAS the worst actor to ever appear on Dallas.
Daniel Nelson why wasn’t James and his son part of JR’s will? Like was mentioned another actor could’ve played James. That was the sorriest will readings of all times.
There should have been episodes where James, John Ross, Christopher & little James spending time together there at South Fork. J.R. Seeing his grandson, meets his daughter in law who gives him lots of information about herself, and them some. J.R. Showing real kindness to his daughter in law & grandson. There should have been some episodes where J.R. Has little James with him in his office and or riding with him on a horse.
@@lmdmn1645 cause Sue Ellen was too his acknowledge that were having an affair with cliff Barnes and that he could have been the father but still looked like Jr would have wanted James DNA tested though would have brought some strong willed determination to the New story perhaps.
The reboot might have retconned James out of existence as he was an unpopular character. Interesting enough though JR called Bobby's wife in the reboot "wife number 3" indicating that Bobby had a second wife who was April. April was Michelle's (James' wife) sister.
Yeah but that's a paradox he was absolutely unlucky in his private life, his first wife had drug addiction and actually was absolutely ordinary, I mean not so attractive like him, his second marriage also failed😞
